The Seoul Performing Arts Company brings a heartwarming futuristic story to the stage with its latest musical, “A Thousand Blues.”
It is based on the 2019 Korean Science Literature Award winning book of the same name by writer Cheon Seon-ran.
The tale brings together a robot jockey, racehorses, and humans to examine recovery and reconciliation; themes that are fit for May, a month commemorating the value of family in Korea.
Ep.84 [K-STAGE] 창작가무극 “천 개의 파랑(A Thousand Blues)”
세상에서 가장 따뜻한 로봇 이야기가 무대 위에 펼쳐진다. 서울예술단이 새롭게 선보이는 창작 뮤지컬 "천 개의 파랑"이 그 주인공. 이 작품은 2019년 제4회 한국과학문학상 장편 대상 수상작인 천선란 작가의 동명소설이 원작이다. 로봇 콜리와 경주마 투데이를 중심으로 동물과 로봇, 인간과 종을 넘어선 이들의 회복과 화해의 연대를 이야기한다.
상처 입고 연약한 주인공들이 서로를 통해 따뜻한 연대를 이뤄가는 모습이 뭉클한 감동과 잔잔한 울림을 가정의 달, 5월에 만나보자.
