Thank you for the fantastic advice! Inspired by the video, I promptly headed to a Walmart across state lines to grab the recommended book. It wasn't too far of a journey since I live nearby. Despite the in-store price being $5 higher than online, I managed to negotiate and secure the book. Now, I'm setting a daily reminder to read aloud for 20 minutes. Here's to success!
“Reading out loud” can be a great strategy, but before that, the pronunciation and tone must be correct or knowing when they are wrong. Otherwise we may just reinforce inaccurate way of speaking English each time we practice. Eventually it’ll be a disaster. Just sharing my experience. 😅😅😅

Thanks for sharing! Is there a way to know the correct tone when practicing?

@@selinad2439That’s what I have learnt from a lecturer. She says there are few steps that we may follow. (1) Choose some your favourite materials eg movies, drama, audio stories, KZbin clips, anything by native speakers. (2) Listen to whats being said with ALL your focus. Try to pick up the nuances and subtle tones. (3) Repeat it in your head first. (4) Then say it out loud. No need to do with a whole complete sentence. Even 2-3 words in the beginning is good. When you are good at it, you can come back to this channel and advance your English to a new level. 😊

@@selinad2439Another thing that I did quite wrong was I learnt lots of English words in my language and spoke in a way grammatically correct but unfortunately not how a native speaker would speak. So, always learn from what they say and how they express rather than studying and memorising tons of vocabulary. Just sharing. Hope it does little use. We can do it. Let’s do it together. 😊
