Wow! Really? This is awesome I agree. But, they only got better after this. This is great in the way that it sounds very raw. But, their more recent preformances sound way tighter. And the music lessons they took after this showed in Ride the lighting and Puppets. I know you didn't say that this was their best. But, how is this better than the more recent verisons of their older songs?
@russkate887 жыл бұрын
They definitely got better as the 80's progressed as you can tell with all the albums that followed right up until The Black Album, but I feel these days they don't play their classic material to it's full potential. Some of the drumming is simplified with fills not being played properly and a lack of awareness of what should be done to bring out the full potential of a song. Whereas back here, everything they play has a near perfect studio representation while still capturing that live energy.

Top of their game! God they were good back in the day. Where'd these guys go? Well I know we lost Mr Burton but these other guys, though...and they were probably 3/4 to blackout drunk too! And I gotta give it up for Cliff headbanging to a different time signature.

Damn the metro is one of the best venues in Chicago. The furthest spot from the stage is like 50ft. Would have been unreal to see metallica at the metro but unfortunately I was negative 2 lol
