a) No way in hell I'm gonna factory reset my phone. b) No way in hell I'm gonna update my firmware, it took me ages to backroll my Xiaomi Redmi. c) you could have told that connection reset will erase wifi network keys. So nothing worked.

I just bought my phone so it is factory reset... It's exactly the same phone (pixle 6a) as my old one that I broke. Just cant get it connected.

Hello Thanks for the video. I suggest your last bit of advice shoud have come at the start and check if you are having a problem connecting to other bluetooth devices. I have a paring password incorrect error only with the MiBox 4 so the issue is not with my phone but with the MiBox4. Another mobile phone also gets the same paring password error and there is no way to do anything other that accept the password provided.

Here’s a sixth (or whatever number we’re up to adding to your potential solutions) possible remedy: I, too, was receiving the message, “Couldn’t pair with [device name] because of incorrect PIN or passkey" - on one out of three mobile phones. The other two simply couldn’t connect and/or pair (but did not give a message). So, with three devices not connecting, clearly it would seem the problem was with the main device (not the mobile phones I was trying to connect/pair). Ultimately, after trying a few different things (including powering down), I fixed the problem only after: Unplugging the main power cable from the back of the device, and then re-plugging it in. (I only wish I had tried it sooner - instead of at the end of an hour’s worth of troubleshooting!)

In my case it hasn’t worked on 3 phones. It’s not the phones. It shows a code like you’re connecting to a device with a screen. Then after a while the phone says you need to forget the device and try again. Same with a Samsung phone. It tried to give you advice on why it may not be connecting.

Solution no. 2 worked for me, after my Samsung Galaxy watch disconnected from my phone, and was refusing to reconnect, and giving me the meaningless error code about "incorrect pin etc." Really appreciate your help, because I was about to demand my money back for the watch. They are useless if they won't connect to your phone. However, on the downside, I had already tried resetting my watch (the advice that Samsung provides online). That did not fix the problem, but it did waste my time because then I had to re-setup the watch from scratch, one I was able to connect using your advice.
