I am a fabricator. There is so much inspiration by this young man to get out there and dream up new ways to enjoy our jeeps. Well done young man. Keep the creative outlet. Who knows where it will take you.

This is great. I am always searcing for a way to sleep in a 2-door JK. I have back and hip problems and need to stretch out. Should have bought a 4-door, but did not think about back problems at the time. Your solution is very creative. I have no skills. So this would not work for me. I considered taking the front passenger seat out and placing a platfrom across the gap. Thanks for this video.

I'm in the same position but as a retired carpenter I think you could do this'd it would work. Ive looked into the seat removal option and it gets complicated with the possibility of the airbag activated
@H.pylori Жыл бұрын
@@johnlounsbury6191 I took my JK to the dealer for routine maintenance just last week, and again asked the service guy about seat removal. He said they would not do it due to liability issues. So I then asked a hypothetical question. "If I take out my front passenger seat after first disconnecting the battery for 1/2 hour, would that activate the air bag or interfere with other components. The response was no, but the airbag light would remain on." I would still like to see someone on youtube do it first.

Great idea. You should patent that. With a few mods and a slide system you’ve got a great product.

How about adding heavy duty drawer slide out brackets to pull out the camper? That way your weight will be supported by the sliders and you won’t need a hitch rack
@1obis65 жыл бұрын
i would love to in JAMPER v2 that was the idea but i didnt know how to inegrate big sliders in and i was on a time constaint and budget. In the future I plan on building abetter version.
@jeremyarchambault5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, there’s also the fact that the rails will make the jamper higher, somehow you will have to level it out if you do it ....

I wonder if it would be possible to build a collapsible crate that fits between the back seat and the back. Kind of like the plastic ones at costco, but larger. This way you can maybe keep the back seat?

Good concept. Could easily be modified to be better. Bolt in a wood system, put the box on drawer slides. Take precise measurements to create a better seal. Get some actual weatherstripping or something for the seal. All Problems solved.
