1Q84 Opening Title Sequence

A project for my Motion Graphics class in college. The assignment was to create a title sequence for a book that has yet to be made into a movie. Nothing is intended to be sold or anything, it was just for an assignment! I don't own any of the photos or the music.

kinda weird...but i envisioned.. RINKO KIKUCHI as FUKA ERI. ( know shes 32 and Eriko is 17...but the description and personality is so her. ) Ken Takakura as Tengos dad -PERFECT.

Kind of amazing how just an opening title sequence captures what i could easily imagine 1q84 to be made as. Good cinematography, good editing, excellent musical choice. Overall, quite impressive.

I just finished the book and would kill to watch that movie :) Can you shoot it? Really nice job! Really metaphorical to see how connected we are by a book...

great work! just a few minor things noted: should the small moon be greenish? while the larger one in yellowish? i like the girl in the train, but the mobile phone just push me out from being the way into the 1Q84... like the overall tune, if more hints connected to the original story would be even likely as a title sequence.

Pretty cool, but i'd prefer if the vocalizations on the xx song used in the video would've been cut out. It would be even more the feeling of the book; you know, that impersonal monotonous tone of it; if the song remained the same from start to finish.
