Probably the best conversion I have seen so far most people just stuff a LS or stock chevy 350 in these cars and don't take the time to create a masterpiece like this,, SUPPER job I will say..

What chassis? I'm thinking about taking a s10 chassis out of my uncle's wrecking yard and chopping it down I'm a welder from building bridges for the state of Texas to battery tanks in the oilfield so manufacturing and blueprints are not a problem for me...love your build I have a similar approach for my 76

Thanks for your comment. Herbie is my daily driver, my only summer wheels, where i go herbie goes. So it had to have the ability to stay cool under any circumstances (can't miss work). I'm not a car builder or mechanic, i'm just an old guy with a welder that threw a bunch of shit together that seems to work. I'm running a davies craig electric water pump and controller that allows me to delete the thermostat, and lets me pick my temperature i want to run at. Under the car is two 5 foot long sections of THERMOFIN mono-aluminum extruded finned tubing with AN fittings tig welded on the ends.This was done for extra surface area for cooling on the trip from back to front. Fluidyne 4 core duel pass rad and flex-a-lite293 6000 cfm fully shrouded puller fans, all plumbed with 16AN braided line. At 90º out i can run on the highway at 65mph all day long with only 1 fan on (lower than 90º no fans) and be plus or minus about 8º of the set point. set 185º will run between 177º to 193º consistently. City is no different, two fans maby one depending on ambient temperature. So i guess the answer to your question is: that in my configuration cooling is extremely efficient and i couldn't ask for better. I sure hope you go ahead with your plans, it's worth the long nights in the garage. Oh yeh. It's not easy crammin all that shit in that little car, so have fun!!
