You guys need headsets to communicate. After 43 years I can't hear a thing.

These guys barely have turnout gear, and gloves you think they can afford headsets?
@adriangreco8249 Жыл бұрын
Plus America is like the only country that uses headsets, Probably for the loud sirens, I would think the trucks in American would have good sound proofing in there trucks. In Australia we don’t use headsets and we have loud sirens.

I don't think these guys get many " Reduce & Hold Calls ! " I commend them on their Dedication & Commitment to do the Job !
@Jesse-gv9tf Жыл бұрын
reduce and hold calls? What does it mean. In my country I don't think we have it.
@megaweld7018 Жыл бұрын
@@Jesse-gv9tf Reduce and Hold in the U.S. means that while you are enroute to the Job the Chief sees that nothing is showing or the First in Company have put the Fire out he will then give the Dispatcher the order to have any Responding Units to continue in at normal traffic flow and any other Units on the Assignment who have to made it out yet to remain at Station. He can also recall any responding Units with the exception of the First In Companies if he sees the Job is under control and they can handle it without any additional Units .
@Jesse-gv9tf Жыл бұрын
@@megaweld7018 thank you. We definitely don't have that. Our assignments are multiple trucks to respond immediately due to population density. Water infrastructure is not reliable also and multiple trucks are needed along with civilian volunteers. I hope one day we will reach American or Europa level equipment and protocols.

it works diff in the Philippines most of the fire services you see attending the fires arent actually required to go per say, they dont get a call to respond to they hear about fires on the radio or via text groups and then its their choice if they want to respond as they are volunteer brigades an not really funded by the government so they have to generate their own funding and they might get alil grant from the government or senator of the region or the BFP from the amount of fires they attend, the BFP being the bureau of fire protection being the national fire service who are the ones that get the calls and are required to attend fires, they also take command of serious situations mainly fatalities an serious injuries during a fire

Is the truck always parked outside?
@iversonfirevolunteer Жыл бұрын
yes, because we dont have a fire station just like in other countries and just volunteer we're not associated with the government
