This is fantastic! Really enjoy seeing more Citizens in the discussion. As you were comparing this to the SARB it struck me as funny that none of the Ali brands have made a SARB alternative for us. If SM made the cream dial version, or perhaps the Salmon dial, I’d snap that up.

You can get a citizen eco drive super titanium with a sapphire crystal for 260 bucks on the grey market... 380 offically... insane value... way better than Seiko Their promaster dive line is also far better than Seiko's imho, at least they have aligned bezels

Yeh there is that but i think the older 8000 series miyota movements may have let the autos down slightly

It's never too late to discover Citizen, and you won't look back ! I bought my first Citizen quartz in 1988 and it gave me over 25 years of reliable service. My current everyday for past 6 years is an Attesa CB3010 radio controlled model, bought in Japan. It's a fab watch. I've too many other Citizen models to mention - really can't understand why Citizen gets less attention than other brands.

Wow! my wife is in Japan at the moment. I might see if she can pick me one up. On the movement the miyota 9 series is so much better than the Seiko 6R15. Yes it's not bidirectional winding but. 1) It's a high beat movement. 2) It's positional variance is far superior to the 6R15. 3) It is far slimmer. 4) It is far easier to regulate accurately.

I really like this watch! Maybe my favorite Citizen. I agree the bracelet is nicer than the SARB033 but I'd still pick the SARB because 41mm is too large. Also I prefer the lumed hands.

Pretty and close to the 033... 4 hz movement and better bracelet ... But ... Miyota = very noisy and personally I think it is too big which is also the reason why I don't use my pressage cocktail time ...

Great purchase. I absolutely love that bracelet. I have always been a fan of Citizen. Their finishing has always been great and unlike Seiko, I have never had QC issues for (usually) less money than Seiko. They have a huge catalog with just about any style, size and movement and price to suit just about anyone. Very nice watch, enjoy and wear it well.
