I went on a date with Talbott, I fell in love with him the first time we had an interaction - he is such a great character! But since he wasn't an option for the Celestial Ball, MC went with Barnaby. This Date quest was aweful because of that... Because I had the talk with Barnaby, who was heartborken that MC rejected him for another date and he more or less confessed that he loved her so deeply! Dang, it made me feel soooooo bad... How could anyone enjoy a date when you leave Barnaby sad asking for hugs?! And not only that! Talbott CONSTANTLY refered MC as his " friend ", like rubbing it to her face several times (and it was written in bold text aswell)! It felt like he didn't really wanted to be "more than friends" and only went on a date with MC beacuse she wanted it and "that's what friends do for eachother". He also refered Tonks and Charlie as "your friends" and because of that I didn't want them to come over and join us at our date, since I know Talbott dosn't like socializing (it was the same outcome anyway - Tonks apologize and tries to leave when she crashes the tea cups). I feel so unsattisfied after this quest and it made me so confused about Talbott's true feelings :( Shiny's and Penny's date was more genuine!

I was thinking earlier about the dynamics of dating in this game. It's nice that we have TLSQ's that will be dedicated to it. It will probably become a series of quests that lead to you becoming "official" with whoever you continuously choose to go on dates with. A nice addition imo would be making a leveling mechanic to their basic friendship as well. Like add a new level to them. Start from 1 and go to level 5 or 10. and with this one friend/significant other you can do different dialogue choices in the current friendship activities. They could also add another location or two around the castle/grounds/other locations where you can only do the activity with your significant other. Like the Tea Shop for instance(after you do the first date TLSQ). Then, your level with your SO could come into play in the future of the game, since we have probably 20-24 months left for years 6 and 7. They could unlock special dialogue choices later on that effect the ending of the game for you with your SO. You could have an official quest line for dating, as well as regular old activities we already do on a daily basis, just with special dialogue options for your SO. It would make the relationship a lot more interesting imo.

In the U.S., the phrase "Do you want to go out with me" is kind of complicated because it depends on who is asking if and how they mean it. Like, if your best friend (no romantic feelings in this situation) asks you if you want to go out, it could mean just hanging out or studying together, and same thing if it is in a romantic sense. But if it is coming from family, then it could simply mean "do you want to go out to the store with me/us". Americans are difficult. And I am an American.

The event is officially over for me now too. At 23:28 you have no idea how big my smile was slowly and steadily getting as we took a small step towards each other. As soon as the handholding happened, I again, squealed and giggled like a little schoolgirl. This event was just too cute. Perhaps in the next chapter or two, we will finally talk about our feelings with one another. She promised to once her sister is safe. Lastly, maybe for the second date it will be a head on a shoulder and perhaps a kiss. We never know. 3:09 the outfit looks more like that of a figure skater.

I really like this side quest but hate it the reason being is that it completely messes up the side quests with penny and maybe barnaby and talbott because with the side quest that has us having the option to confess to penny it would be completely have no point because you would’ve already confessed to her in year 4, with barnaby there’s the option to say you fancy him to Ismelda but everyone would know that in year 4 due to having a date with him, and with talbott I’m hoping that the creators reference you saying you fancied them before you obliviated talbott if not then they are bad at having continuity

Does anyone know when chronologically this side quest takes place? In spite of in game it is situated on year 4 it must be on year 5 because Charlie mentioned about frogs in bathroom (it was shortly before mishief masterpiece). Secondly it is after or before breaking portrait curse? Probably after because Penny didn’t think about dating etc. until her sister was free from the portrait. On the other hand at the beginning of this question Merula was quite vicious for us while at the end of year 5 she should be enough nice. How do you think?
