Looking good! Love the air setup. I debated for a long time doing that vs a portable setup and decided to go portable since I have friends who are always relying on me to fill them up 😂

Great video of showing how a Sequoia can flex and go places where no one thought it could! Really like the rear 60/40 rear swing out, who makes it or did you build it? Most of all, you're out with the wife and kiddos having a great time, that's all that matters! Watched few of your videos in the past...just subbed! Thanks for posting!

I agree what's the point of having it all if you can't enjoy it with family? Rear bumper setup is from a Canadian company called Coastal Offroad, I have a couple videos detailing the build.

Im looking at a 02 on sunday. Is 1st or 2nd gen better? I'm looking for something that I can camp o. The beach where there will be really soft sand and something that won't get stuck in mud.
@treehouseoffroad
@treehouseoffroad 4 ай бұрын
They're both really great vehicles so I guess it comes down to personal preference. The easiest way to not get stuck in the sand is to air your tires down. I'm partial to the first gen's simply because I have more experience with them, but we were trying to buy a second gen and they're just weren't any suitable trucks in our area.

You ever bring that hog on a scale to see how much she weighs? Just picked up an 02 limited. Gotta do some frame work power steering lines rocker panels blah blah blah. Live in Maine, very jealous of your weather and lack of rust! Nice rig bub!
@treehouseoffroad
@treehouseoffroad Жыл бұрын
Thanks man I grew up in Massachusetts so I'm very familiar with rust. My first few vehicles were Jeep CJs and finding one that even had a floor back then was nearly impossible. I did weigh the Seq once completely loaded down with camping gear and my entire family in it. It was over 7,000 lb but I don't remember the exact number

how reliable is your setup? your rig has everything im looking for in a sequoia that I need to use in real world application in Madagascar hauling load and people through really crappy terrain almost daily

This truck has been a dream. I've only broke down once on the trail due to a bent tie rod, but I carry spares and tools so we fixed it in no time. Just make sure your rear springs are rated for heavy loads. I got the heaviest ones at the time but when I'm loaded down for camping with my wife, dog, four kids, and four days worth of food and supplies - my rear is starting to sag pretty bad. I'm going to start exploring other options for the rear springs, maybe a spacer or something.
