A short trip from Bangalore to Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, sowthadka sri mahaganapathi temple and Kukke Shri Subrahmanya Temple on 1st January 2021 . Bangalore to Dharmasthala is about 310kms and from dharmasthala to Kukke is about 55kms. This can be covered in a day if you are driving yourself. Blessed to start the 1st day of the calendar year with the darshan of Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara swamy , sowthadka sri mahaganapathi temple and Kukke Shri Subrahmanya Temple. Sowthadka temple with no roof dedicated to lord Ganesha and adorned with bells of different sizes. It is said that a cyclone had thrown away the roof twice and hence the locals decided not to restore it. Many people give Bells to the temple and pray god to grant them the wishes. The god is supposed to have a love for bells. Bells are hung all through the temple.
