Though this meet may not have gone exactly the way she had hoped, she did what she set out to do: get through her first level 9 meet. A few hours after the meet she told me she was excited for her next meet. I asked her why and she said because she wanted to get back up on the beam and land her series. I'd like to take a moment to say how proud I am of Annie. I think she's doing a great job balancing everything she has going on in her life and always pushing through even when things aren't easy. She gets compared to others sometimes but at the end of the day she's just who she's always been: Annie. Her journey is her own, not someone else's.

Although I don't think Annie should have done level 9 right away, maybe late winter or early spring, I'll support her with whatever she does. Yes, she could be rocking level 8 rather than struggling with level 9, but as long she is having fun and her coaches think it's safe for her to compete, I will watch and be on her side the whole time. I've never seen such passion and desire in her eyes as I did in this video. This is what she wants, so go get it. You can only go up from here Annie, can't wait to see your next meet!

I agree with Bratayley, this is Annie's channel, there is no need to compare any other gymnast here, make your own video if you feel the need. Annie, please don't let anyone make excuses for you. At the end of the day, you have a talent for gymnastics. It is your choices, and the level of hard work/determination you put forth that determines if and how your talent is used. In the end, talent means nothing if you don't do everything in your power to succeed. Recognize the haters but also recognize the "yes men" who would say anything in hopes to please you. I truly hope you are enjoying yourself and happy with the choices and work you have put in. Just know that millions of loving fans (that you earned!) is a wonderful accomplishment, but gymnastics accomplishments are gained based on mastering skills and technique, and it is all up to YOU and only YOU. I would love to see you putting in the hours and nailing some level nine skills in competitions this year, but only if YOU want to. BEST OF LUCK!

Although this may not have been Annie's best meet, and I'm sure she would've liked to have done better, she was still very gracious and showed a lot of support for her friends. A lot of girls would have a day like this and see it as a reason to be angry, or find some way to blame the judges or their coaches for their scores, but Annie seems to be a lot more mature than that. She knows that she can have off-days, maybe even off-weeks, and that she can control that and it's up to her to change it.

You got right back up with confidence and bravery, and that's what matters the most!❤ You did amazing on beam! Back layouts on beam seem extremely difficult but you handled it like a boss👍 Also your vaults were both amazing and your floor routine was just beautiful!😍 And amazing job on bars! Sometimes you just have to keep going and try and try again until you reach your goal! Yes it takes time, but it's worth it! You're such an inspiration to others because you're a beautiful gymnast and you never quit❤ So proud of you Annie, I was very impressed while watching this meet. I doubt anyone does their best in their first meet, and from a level 7 to a level 9 is a huge transition. Sometimes you have to fail and mess up because it can motivate you to work even harder than before! Edit: I also wonder if it ever makes her more nervous that there are probably more people watching her because they know her channel. I hope it doesn't add even more pressure, but if it does, at least they're all there to support her!

Fatima Saddiq She only did one level 8 meet, and last spring she was still competing level 7 so she pretty much went from level 7 to level 9. And I know she skipped level 6 but that doesn't really have anything to do with this.
@fatimasaddiq54238 жыл бұрын
***** However she did still learn all level 7 moves.Also her transition doesn't really matter.She was rushed and you could tell from her form to layout.She should have stayed in level 8.
@abbiesigns79688 жыл бұрын
Fatima Saddiq she was probably nervous and Mrs Katie explained it in "we conquered level 8" that she could move up if she got a high enough score and she got a high enough score I think she fell was probably nerves and she started with vault which wasn't her best so it probably brought her confidence down
@fatimasaddiq54238 жыл бұрын
Acro_Abbie 1 She had pretty much 2and a half months to get every skill as she was off on trips.She should have gone back to level 8.She was lucky enough to get a good score in level 8 but does that mean she would be ready for level 9.Obviously not,she looked a mess.Her tricks shes learnt ages were worser.You may take this harshly however this is what she needs a bit of discipline or critism.Her coaches to seem let her off lightly.

Annie is a phenomenal gymnast. I couldn't even do those things in my dreams. She should be so proud of her progress from the beginning to now. She is made of layers of strength, courage, and faith. She is someone to look up to because she was brave enough to look back at her mistakes maturely and instead of giving up, she learns from those mistakes and fixes the problem. I hope she never gives up because I can see her being an olympic gold medalist as soon as she is old enough. Never give up Annie! Keep your eyes on the pride and those stars in your heart and you will without question pursue all of your dreams!

She had bad meets all the time. Her coaches weren't good and they forced her to upper levels even though she wasn't ready

Abigail Reid- (sorry, I can't reply to you directly). How would you feel if your brother died, your dad is gone a lot, you have been having problems with friends, and then you fell at your first meet. Well, first of all, I want to point out that Annie is a trooper. So don't call her pathetic. You're saying that to make yourself feel better, because in this case you are the pathetic one because you are hating on an 11 year old girl who has been through ALOT. Falling 3 times can make you frustrated, so I completely understand why she was upset.

I feel so bad for Annie...look at her face at 2:22 and 3:42
@mindyschocolate8 жыл бұрын
A.A I feel really bad for Annie. I always said her coach pushed her into a level she wasn't ready for (and she's not if she's falling on every level 9 skill) , and seeing her look so sad actually makes me angry. Bad days are one thing, but she straight up wasn't ready, and I don't see what the rush was, other than staying with friends. I prefer the happy bubbly Annie than a sad one, which is what her face looked like after her events, especially beam and bars. If she can clean up some stuff, I think she could do very well next year. Her floor routine has some great choreography. Hopefully her next meet goes better. She's a cute kid.
@madisonenderle34088 жыл бұрын
mindyschocolate I agree. If she was level 8 this year, she would be so good. She would get higher scores and she would be happier
@forgottenpixel8 жыл бұрын
+mindyschocolate Exactly. ALL the adults around her have set her up for failure. It's not Annie's fault. She'll improve from this for sure, but she will NOT be anywhere near ready for 10 - I hope everyone's plan is to stay or retire at this level.
@ankelache21718 жыл бұрын
I do not think the coach pushes them in level 9. Coach Mary does a good job, check out Peanut and Sydney. Annie lacks power and tension. She always has loose legs and the feet are not stretched. There are good approaches there, but this is not enough to do in the elite with gymnastics.

@andiem40818 жыл бұрын
Flora Varga I agree, Annie isn't really ready for level 9, but I don't think it's totally Coach Mary's fault. I think Annie wanted it because all her friends are moving up and as a famous youtuber, there's a pressure on her to make sure what she'll do is something the fans will like.

Andie M just because one meet went bad everyone hates her! Annie just had a bad meet but she got back up and kept trying
@irrelevance38598 жыл бұрын
I get what you mean, but she isn't ready, of course shes not going to do perfectly, no one will, everyone makes mistakes, and she is still young, but the amount of mistakes she was making and how big of mistakes they were is too much, She fell on her first vault, she fell multiple times on the bar and had to start over and over again, she wobbles a lot on beam and fell and had bent legs on the skill, floor she had huge steps at the end of her passes and nearly fell for the first pass and her legs were bent. She did badly on all four events. She wasn't ready, But I do agree, no one should expect her to be perfect
@weinreberebi8 жыл бұрын
can you do it better?
@theamay19098 жыл бұрын
The one that is truest amazing about this is that Annie does all of this which most people can't do. That's not what's amazing. What's amazing is that every time she falls she gets right back up again. Annie is a true inspiration. Not just to me, but to everyone. This young girl is already big, but I see her being even bigger and better when she's older. I'm enjoying watching her become that person throughout the days. She pulled through even when times get tough. Caleb would be very proud of Annie and Hayley. Keep up the amazing work Annie 🙂❤💎💋

Annie, I know I'm not your coach or mom, (so don't comment this bs here guys) but I think you should slow down and perfect your form first. Not for the good scores or anything, just for your safety. Especially on the beam and bars I seriously thought you were gonna injure yourself. I know this wasn't the best meet but you'll get better ❤️❤️
@carolinesunshiney8 жыл бұрын
It's her first meet and level 9 is a VERY difficult level. I don't think some of you understand how high and intense a level these girls are training at. It's a huge jump for the body and of course it's not going to be perfect the first time around. Her coaches know what's best for her and this will challenge her and push her gymnastics to the next level. She did great and y'all need to chill
@giabarrone74228 жыл бұрын
If it is such a huge jump from 8 to 9, why do coaches let their gymnasts skip crucial level 8? This is an honest question, not sarcastic. Even the Coral Girls who completed level 8, earned scores as low as 6.something, only 2 scores in the low 9's.......
@carolinesunshiney8 жыл бұрын
Gia Barrone I agree that they would definitely be scoring higher in level 8, so I think it's up to the coaches whether they think their gymnasts can handle the physical toll and not receiving as many awards as before. I think it's meant to challenge them and depends on the coach and gymnast :)
@Amyhickling55668 жыл бұрын
I really don't think skipping level 8 was a good idea and I'm really surprised her coach allowed it.

Millakai Roblox how does asking someone else to try negate the facts? She is too loose. Any good gymnasts knows a form break when they see one. You can point out a fact you know and still like the gymnast. Liking someone doesn't mean fawning over them and not being honest.
