Brain dead lol Taking the evac is the right move, so they can fly over and look for a spot. Hal chose literally the middle of nowhere with no cover in front of a team. Zero couldn’t take the evac because he would’ve gotten ticked and he was low and behind them, so he called out he had to walk.
