Dubbed the "Spyral Slayer" (I had one match against Spyral today and it was a draw), Blake shows off some new dolls he played with at locals. Apologies for the vacuum cleaner, lol.

When the set of Shadows dropped, I got 3 boxes (heavily discounted) and only pulled 4 Invocation. Packs can be cheap now but it’s a pain in the ass card to pull especially as a super.

For the kind of explosive plays and yet control the deck can do, I thought it was pretty close to my ideal build. I’m starting to second guess the falco as I don’t think he was relevant the whole day. I may swap it out for another beast. The extra deck is so tight but I would like to main abyss dweller, dugares, apkallone, and shekhinaga (locals call).

NERO KNIGHT World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke. Requires 3 link monsters. Avarice is good, but in testing I found I rarely had enough in grave since I’m banishing a lot with invocation. It’s definitely good late game, but I also found my games weren’t that long; either win with borrelsword/purgatrio immediately or sit on winda/caliga for a turn then borrelsword/purgatrio, lol. Avarice is definitely good for the deck, I just didn’t want to open it and risk it being a 6th dead card.

Could you please explain the borrelsword OTK in the end? You attack with Borrelsword with effect to increase ATK = 3k DMG. Then juggler had to be in attack position to use dragon's second effect to change it to Def for second attack and then you el shaddoll fusion both dragon an trick clown into construct? Is this correct?

BrAnime Yes that was what I was going for. Apologies for rushing it; our store was closing soon. You can do a few different things depending on the field/your hand/going first or second, but I chose to go second if I won the dice roll, so I was making borrelsword a lot, el shaddoll into winda or construct for game (not using borrelsword as material, but the other monster left on field and another monster in hand, if you can). If I knew I was facing spyral, I would choose to go first; winda/caliga for game.

THe "OFFiCial" K.A.M... =P Ash negates effects and not activations, so you can ash a fusion summoned under meltdown

Yeah, this locals tournament was Sunday afternoon, before the UDS was over. I wanted to try out the new support and thought aleister was a better normal summon than mathematician. Definitely shares the deck name of invoked shaddoll, but he played desires and increased the shaddoll monster and fusion spell count while not running any hand traps (in the main). His seemed more of a “get down to business” build while mine had more disruptions. I may try the higher fusion spell and material route and see what happens.

Naruto, yes I do like to throw some money into the game (obviously), but I’ve been playing since the beginning so have amassed a collection as well for trading, and if someone is willing to trade a lightning storm, I’m willing to go after it. Mind pointing out what makes me a bad player? If it is indeed a flaw, I’d love the opportunity to work on it. It’s my ninja way. Believe it!

SuitUpTheBoots I find I will go into a second Mechaba every so often (won me a game) and I tend to go into winda or construct way before I would go into apkallone, but I do want to try one next time. The extra is just so tight.

@@blakecombden9063 not in complaint to money but you did do the chain link incorrectly for construct. The order will always be the monsters sent to GY trigger as chain 1 and 2. Chain 3 has to be Construct because it hits field effectively after the monsters go to GY. Common misunderstanding of the fusion summoning rules on chain links. If construct were mandatory it would be different. Official rule book confirms this.
