If you're not a dancer in these settings then you wouldn't understand just how much this cheering helps performers really go above and beyond. Those cheers give us energy for our performances and tell us, as performers, that what we're putting out there is resonating with the crowd. While the video editor could have done more to make the tracks louder, don't blast the audience for reacting positively to what is an awesome performance.

I found it epic, imagine watching a near-silent urban dance performance? When people scream, it's because they really feel what the artists are putting on stage. Like, really feel. So it's like a 1 to 10 meter on how the team's doing and really brings up the atmosphere.

It's not because of the crowd like most people think. The cheering is pretty much a staple for dance competitions like this one (even if it might seem overbearing, but that's most likely coincidence of the louder peeps being near the camera) . If you look at other competitions you'll notice the music here is quieter than usual.
@catherinecollins38967 жыл бұрын
Erno she was screaming soo much for no reason
@KCLARK987 жыл бұрын
So y'all really gone sit hear and act like couldn't make out none of the songs cus the screaming was not that loud that you couldn't hear anything 🙄The crowd is supposed to be hyped and as a dancer you should be able to both channel and tune out the screaming so you can still hear the music and react to crowd. I had no problem hearing the music obviously some of it was drowned out a little but the beats were the main things you were supposed to har anyways because they were mixes and not all of them had words
@lulu.v21177 жыл бұрын
KCLARK98 hard out, i wish we could hear the track to their sick moves. But daaing zzz
@amybelleordona7 жыл бұрын
To all those who are complaining about the screaming: The reason why people are cheering for others is one to give off energy. Seems kinda dumb when I say it but if you have danced on stage before, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Second, it motivates the dancers to give their 110%. Not 100%. 110%. Plus at competitions, cheering is another way to get an award (for those of you who don't know). Another thing, teams like these will often have sister teams or be a part of a bigger division. Many of these people cheering can be part of this, and who wouldn't cheer for their friends/family? Seriously, if the cheering bothers you, then don't watch it or watch it somewhere else.
@FonkyCheech7 жыл бұрын
Amybelle Ordona know the difference between motivating and annoying. this is annoying and obnoxious on a different level. they can tone it down a bit. I've seen bboy jams that are hype as shit... more hype than this, but people shut up until something ill happens. there's no need to be screaming the ENTIRE performance. a hand moved? scream. they nodded to the audience? scream. they breath? scream. it's stupid. don't defend stupidity.
@KaiCameron7 жыл бұрын
MandaloreSyphon Krump jams are pretty much like this, though . They need hype to kill it, too lol . Usually I'm annoyed by excessive screaming while nothing's happening but this set was so hype, I can let it go .

Mark tafua you're a child... Don't like my comment? Don't read it. That's how your logic works right? The screaming is still obnoxious as fuck... The set is dope... They should keep the camera shot from the back. Audience isn't annoying from there.

For the people commenting about how everyone is hella screaming and they can't hear the music. The LAB has very dedicated students that will always scream their heart out for their team preforming.
