Amazing runs sir! I'm using the exact same equipment, how do you manage to have that kind of very little recoil especially with your double taps? Thanks
@ryan_root6 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. A lot of it comes down to grip. Try to get as high up on the pistol with your strong hand and pinch in as much as you can with your support hand. The higher you can get / closer to the bore axis the gun will track flatter in your hand.
@tonym.52236 жыл бұрын
@@ryan_root Thanks for the reply. I do have challenges in that area due to smaller hands but will definitely look to go closer to the bore axis.

Is the rule of production to only have 10 rounds per magazine? I might as well go to limited division.
@ryan_root5 жыл бұрын
In production you are limited to 10 rounds per mag. Keep in mind that in limited division there are major and minor power factor scoring. Where as in production everything is scored as minor. Typically you are at a considerable disadvantage shooting minor power factor in limited.

Good job sir I have one question I go to star to compete in uspsa production Glock 34 5 gen is a good pistol? How is the recoil and I saw your pistol in action but do you have modification may be can I make modification for a low recoil is all I need thanks
@ryan_root2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. . The gen 5 glock 34 is a great pistol. The recoil is manageable with it only being a 9mm. I do have some modifications on this gun. I use a 13lb recoil spring on a tungsten guide rod. I also have Dawson sights, some aftermarket trigger parts and a HYVE extended mag release. If you're just getting started, the best thing to spend your cash on are some sights, ammunition, and match fees. Get out and shoot, have a great time. The rest of the parts can come later.

Why does your gun look modified. I guess you can do certain things. Is the 34 really that big of a advantage over the 17. Cheers
@ryan_root3 жыл бұрын
It’s modified but mostly internal following the USPSA rules. I have an aftermarket mag release and sights that you can see. Also the guide rod. I like the G34 over the G17 for the longer sight radius and slightly longer barrel. It’s a marginal difference but it’s what most prefer.

Ryan Root I had no clue you could shoot production with all of that. Awesome!
@ryan_root5 жыл бұрын
Joshua David there are a lot of internal mods you can do and remain legal. The external mods used to be super strict, they have expanded in the last year. I forgot to add to the parts list that I do have a brass insert too. The gun makes weight by about .5 oz.

What trigger are you using? Stock or? Thanks, nice shooting!
@ryan_root6 жыл бұрын
chgofirefighter it’s kinda a yes and no answer. I use OCC triggers which are the same as factory but have “enhanced” trigger pads and are polished. Some of them allow you to take pre and post travel out. I use all of it.

@@vijonbe got ya. Ya your rules are a little stricter and not all pistols are legal in IPSC compared to USPSA. A buddy of mine shoots a Glock 17 for his IPSC matches.

Don Curtis I have used both round and flat nose, nowadays I use the round. . 3.1-3.2 gr of titegroup at 1.12 oal seems to do the trick. My tanfoglio needed to be loaded short and I just haven’t had a need to change it. I use federal primers exclusively.
