You made a really great point about having x2 Shaman so they can both endlessly recycle cards. Have you thought about updating this deck to play with the Ryzeal engine? It's a lot more powerful! Hero is ok because it's quickplay but I think Ashened engine can live without it, especially with the Ryzeal engine added into it. I also did a combination of adding Fiendsmith in here as well and surprisingly it all works pretty well together. Deck and extra deck space is SUPER TIGHT though!

i saw the effect of Spearhead before it got changed and it was a Quick Effect. I got so mad when it finally came out and it wasn't QE anymore.

I guess good deck to olay pure. I bought it and it has yet to come to me. But i play it with melodious to get into the ashened engine. But i play 3 kings because i think its a good card and its not really a brick. But yeah hero is kind of useless but i guess for embers or some link its good or otk. But spearhead should be a quick effekt and then the card would be really good. Because it sucks. You put him on the field and then in your opponents turn you cant do something with him.
