The story behind the Vick TD is even better than the play. For those that don’t know the story, Djax was coming back from a concussion. In pregame warmups, the Redskins were talking trash about his concussion, specifically Laron Landry. The team told Andy Reid about it. The typically mild mannered Reid was pissed and ran that play to get back at Landry…. Gotta love Andy Reid

Not always, Tim Hightower's opening play td @ NO in the playoffs and Quandre Diggs pick 6 off of Darnold in 2018 didn't mean anything as both those teams would eventually get blown out, so it doesn't matter if a team scores on the opening play, what matters is how the opponent responds, they can either hang their heads or just go out and respond with a score of their own

I was glad to see the Leonard Fournette run against the Rams here. It was a bizarre situation where the Jags scored on the first play from scrimmage, but the Rams took the opening kickoff to the house, so it only tied the game!

Eagles won that game 59-28 (it was MNF game). As a Redskins...oops, Commanders fan, that was about what I expect from them whenever they play a nationally televised game.

1:03 I am a Chiefs fan. Watched that one live. It's very near and dear to me. "Oh, it's the first play, I can take a drink" and then, well, *that* happened, and it was the sign of a glorious ass kicking to behold that day. :D

They do have at least one. Andy Reid's Eagles opening kickoff they tried an onside kick and Randall Williams took it for the TD. Not exactly 1st play from scrimmage but it was the first play of the game. 2004 or 2005
