The redheaded boy may have been raised in a religious environment. The dark hard boy, an open minded free thinker. Two people who clearly love each other culturally separated by philosophical idealism and mythology. The ending scenes in the automobile with Frank Sinatra and his daughter singing our fantastically photographed. You see and feel everything that the redheaded boy is thinking. It is heartbreaking to watch him. Absolutely flawless acting. Beautiful cinematography. A fantastic short and very emotionally rich with feeling.

Two beautiful faces filmed very well, an intelligent and subtle text, the whole interaction feels deeply authentic... a pity that the message is so sad.

Deeply beautiful and painful at the same time. Riding in the car with "Tom" at the end was illuminating, to say the least, and painfully brutal ... all at the same time! Thank you, Ron!❤❤❤💔💔💔

Gripping performance by actors with a great script and storyline. The intimate scenes were very well shot. It all felt very genuine and moving. All around a great production. Please do more.

Why do so many western gay movies sad? What happened to happy endings?

Perhaps Tom will find a girl that has those qualities he saw in the other boy. But after awhile he will realize there's more to " It" than he originally thought. Regret City, next stop. Seriously, a Great Short Film! Thanks. 💙🎉🍻

Part 2 should bring these two boys back to reconcile and openly admit their love for each other. Please.

Normative versus Positive. The red-haired lad, the host, frames his world in normative terms, i.e., should, ought, must, and have to. His best friend, the black-haired lad, the guest, frames his world in positive terms, i.e., is. The naturalistic fallacy is the mistake (which it is not universally agreed always is a mistake) of deducing conclusions about what OUGHT TO BE from premises that state only what IS the case; or the other way about. To maintain your independent reasoning and critical thinking skills, don't let anyone "should" on you. Song: Frank Sinatra duet with his daughter Nancy Sinatra, Somethin' Stupid, 1967.

What is the next thing Tom says after saying that "believing in soulmates is stupid"? Did something happen that was not shown? ...maybe on the bed? Is this what "Tom" feels he "did wrong"?

The typical theme. Nothing adventurous here. But well acted. What about the missing development, the never realized scenarios? The capabilities that could be identified? Next episode '2nd Shade of the Heart': "I was crude with cock-blocking girl fantasy shit. I hate that I do dumb shit. I was short-sighted. We are both losing, if we pause or stop, here. As I see it now, losing sucks". Now, I can say, "In some ways you are ahead of me. You seem stronger, you are not afraid. I see you want to create, you want to build, you want to collaborate - with me. I honor your opinions/beliefs of me...thank you for that. I value my feelings about you, and you are here, first, now, in front of me. I will learn to see you better, and trust in your vision of me. "
