It is 1st test, Day 4 of the Pakistan Tour Of Sri Lanka at the Galle International Stadium. In the pursuit of securing the target score of 131 runs, Pakistan completed its fourth-day journey with 48 runs and lost 3 wickets in the process. The visitors still need 83 runs to win the match and have 7 wickets in hand.

I'm a Sri Lankan, but looking at our pathetic batting (except DDS and Mathews) and fielding performances, Pakistan should win this test match, as they deserve it thoroughly. They bowled exceptionally well in both innings, their fielding was outstanding, and they took half chances not once but a few times. Sri Lanka will only have a sniff with the new ball tomorrow during the morning session when the ball is hard if they want to win this match, because if not, Pakistan will chase the remaining 83 in a canter. I was devastated when DDS got out, but he can do only so much. How many times has he bailed out our team in the recent past from precarious situations, and how many more can we expect from him to do? It's high time that the rest of our batsmen start carrying their weight in the team, especially free-loaders like Mendis! If we had given the same chances that Mendis got to some other deserving batsman who are on the bench, we could have reaped much more benefits right now. But I dunno what's the deal between SL Cricket and Mendis, cos even Atapattu didn't receive such second chances in the initial stage of his career. Mendis is still riding on the back of his 176 knock against Australia in 2016, which is truly ridiculous! I wish all the best to Pakistan, and let's hope that Sri Lanka comes up with a much stronger performance in the second test match.

I read everything u said and i agree but moreover i gonna say that Dinesh Chandimal also didn’t did shittt for SL but he is in Team from years, i remember him watching for years with no performance yet he was in team and it’s sad to see SL cricket not taking any action on these kinda stuff and even the same thing is by Pak cricket to they gave the chances to losers then the top best quality players. Pakistan played very good cricket and outplayed the Lankans in almost all departments but mostly their fielding was far better. The Lankans weren't terrible and some players showed real fight (DDS the first amongst them!) but the day and the test really belong to Pakistan. There might be an upset tomorrow but it is unlikely because 83 runs is very gettable and once the ball is old, batting is much easier. Either way, Pakistan deserve to win this one. I just hope my team makes it as hard as possible because it makes for good cricket and also because I want them to be inspired to up their game in the second test. Cheers from a Lankan fan!

Glad to see Pakistan to have had such successful day on a wicked Galle pitch, that is quite hard to bat on. Even Sri Lankan batsmen found it difficult to bat on that wicket. Noman Ali run out was unnecessary wicket and Imam should be held culpable for throwing away that 3RD wicket. Unusually in this whole match Pakistani Cricketers ground fielding have been above par, Kudos to Babar for leading by example. D De Silva got a reprieve earlier in his innings when the ball died on Babar at slip and didn't carry. It's good that Shaheen Shah had the last laugh on Dhananjaya. That Partnership on day 2 & 3 between Saud Shakeel & Salman Ali Agha had put Pakistan in perfect position to win this 1st test match by 7 wickets. Hope Babar and Imam see it through for Pakistan to victory by adding that 83 runs in the morning session tomorrow without losing any further wickets. MOM should be awarded to Saud Shakeel
