Tip here for buying medicine … if you are unsure of the price, the number 1 you must go to is Mercury Drug Store because they cannot just raise the prices anytime they want or if they see you are a foreigner or something, because prices are fixed so you’ll be sure that you are given the right price and you’ll have options for generic/brands as well 😊😊 Can’t wait for the next vid! 🤗🤗 Enjoy!! 🤗

@@BiancaBeyond no problem. Everything takes time in the Philippines. I forget the exact amount the bill should be for resident. The other locals should know. Also ask the foreigners / locals if just having the barangay ID card is enough for you guys to go back and forth to caticlan. It may be fine for you but your partner won't pass as Filipino and there is a chance they may ask him for a second ID. They did this in the past when foreigners would exit and try to return during Island closure. Best to know so he doesn't get stuck in Caticlan. If people Are getting asked for second ID he and or both of you can get the postal ID.

That's the downside here in the Philippines tbh. Healthcare is not as advanced in places outside the cities. And as you have said, it's really supply and demand. The availability of medications in every area depends on the common conditions in that place. Only the modernized cities would have a wider variety of medications for the less common illnesses. And even so, the meds would be pricey if it's a less commonly used treatment. It helps that you have contacts in other places esp in the cities so they can check them out for you. I hope you can at least find a way to get discounts in the future hehe

@khelisiesalvatore81732 жыл бұрын
@@BiancaBeyond oh I didn't think meds in Canada were free. It's just many in the US send through the mail to Canada to get their meds every month. But that's an awesome price to pay for a doctor visit. In the US without insurance to see my GP it's $170 -$175 specialists and hospital stays I can't even think of how outrageous. Recently my roommate 's aorta started to ruptures and if she didn't get the operation when she did she wouldn't have survived the night. Plus she's fighting stage 3b colon cancer had to stop chemo while her heart heals then finish it. Last phase of treatment is radiation not sure how long for. She's lucky to have Medicaid where the state picks up practically everything she may have an insanely low copay of like $4

Sounds like a little more homework needed to be done on the topic of medication(s). $200 a month could be a deal breaker for some folk as some sacrifices might have to be made somewhere.
