Just got into the Ozrics following a recommendation - amazing band. How can bands of such quality exist in the background without wider recognition and love! My go to music now when I am working or just in the house…

The Ozrics are a great band. This is the second review I've stumbled across in the last couple of days. I have about 22 of their albums. And I'm going to see them in Liverpool next month. Great review, thanks for posting it. 👍

Start back in 1984 Jonathon - first 6 albums all home-produced, then on through the preceding 40 years - saw the original band 4 times back in the 80's, and no less astounding even then - they just go on and on, thank goodness!!

They're one of the bands that simply has stuck with me sine i got to know them in 1993. And from since then i have explored many bands, producers and genres, but where many things came and went or i grew out of, i never tired of Ozric and still don't. But having them as an influential reference set th bar really high for other psychedelic bands ad music to actually cut through or remain satisfactory. However, i'm still stunned by how they are generally so underrated or unknown by a lot of 'buffs'.

I saw OT back in the late 90s and they were huge fun. First time I went to Glastonbury with the person who would become my wife, in 2003, I took her along to see the Ozrics, System 7 and Eat Static. she didn't last more than 10 minutes with any of them 😍. I knew then that our musical tastes wold never align.

A copyright disclaimer is cool... but asking for permission and crediting the right-owners is better! So, if you could just drop a line crediting our work and pointing to our KZbin channel in your video description, it would be nice! Anyway, we're very happy that you liked this awesome band we filmed when we produced their show in our city!

I want to formally apologize. As a new tuber, I'm still learning all of the practical and ethical procedures involved in creating this kind of content, and it was not my intention in any way to bypass giving due credit to the rightful owners, or to bypass the proper protocol to gain the proper permission to use the content in one of my videos. Moving forward, I will be sure to contact you ahead of time if I would like to ask about reacting to any content of which you are the rightful owners. I will include a link in the description as per your request, and humbly ask that you accept my sincerest apology. Thank you for addressing this with me.

@MiseRecords is it policy to give permission for this type of content? I have zero doubt that ozrics were as successful as they were in the 90s as a direct result of friend-copies and even bootleg copies of the "demo" tapes. I certainly wouldn't have heard them without these and certainly wouldn't have bought the CD box set in the 90s. These type of channels and react content is one of the new ways for band exposure and popularity to spread, and as ozrics is a gigging band and thus filling venues is the goal there, I'm sure the band embraces this stuff. You're right to ask Jonathan to properly cite and credit the band, I hope you also do give permission in future 👍🙂

@@JonathonThamesMusic grew up (in the UK) on Erpsongs in around 1983/4, everyone had the same copy-of-a-copy-of-a-copy tape with no bass and drop outs. Sliding Gliding Worlds is my favorite album though. As a single track, it's hard to beat O-I (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYWUgmWVlJWSf8k) I'd have it as my MMA walk-out track, to weird out the opponent! Plus it has the Wonder Woman bassline in the middle thrown in for good measure!
