Fun fact, this is the only song in the OST that's implied to be written BY the character. Elphelt is also the vocalist of a death metal band in-universe, named "Speothos Venaticus" Edit: the "contract" she has is actually a marriage certificate. Elphelt is a lunatic obsessed with marriage and asks basically every guy she sees to marry her. She's still terminally single.

She was the fiance to a singer from a death metal band. On the day of her wedding her abilities as a gear and memories came back. We don't know what happened exactly but it led to her going against the people who tried to control her

@@DemiDeus314 she's not a Gear, she's an artificial life form created by the "universal will" (not getting into that can of worms of a lore dump) she was created with the purpose of helping and then betraying Sol Badguy, but her programming, just as her sister's, was faulty, making her want to be more than just a tool for her mother's plan, she then turns on her mother

In xrd she was a reference to guns n roses. Wearing a spiked wedding dress and hiding grenades in a bouquet. They dropped the roses part for her redesign but turns a marriage license into her gun.

11:11 Yes, that stage is the White House For some context, Elphelt is "a" "Valentine", a very specific type of artificial human, who was created by a non-human entity as part of its plan to destroy hunanity. One aspect of this was that Elphelt was "programmed" to seduce and marry a death metal singer to infiltrate human society- but then through an epiphany she comes to feel real emotions and decides to fight for humankind instead. Because of her initial programming, she is fascinated with the concept of love and marriage, being made to know it conceptionally but not intended to feel it truly; and she's had a habit of asking any adult man she meets to become her husband. Overall, getting to spend life like an actual person would allows her to explore who she truly wants to be. By the time of Strive, she feels insecure about not being able to do much to help her adopted family, and ends up running away from home to become a death metal singer herself, using her music to express herself and help people out in her own way, by being an inspiration to them.

Since you pointed out the recurring duality in these tracks, i have to say you might be interested in testament's theme, "like a weed, naturally, as a matter of course". Major duality motif both musically and lyrically, probably the most out of the whole ost (though i may be biased as they're my favorite character lol)

Yeah,so the contract is a marriage contract. Basically ties her character wanting to marry everyone (mainly the male cast) to the previous game where she wore a wedding dress.

"I've stumbled many times, I might get hurt, But I keep on running" Times might get difficult, but keep getting up, keep moving forward anyway. "Who would walk out on the street bothered about, Bumps in the road?" Of course times will get difficult, but that's how life is. Why would you stop trying just because things might get tough? That's expected from life. Gotta, again, keep on running, keep moving forward despite those bumps/set backs in life. "I'm scared of the laughter, but I love to laugh myself" Scared of being laughed at, scared of looking foolish/stupid. But she's "brave enough to be a fool", she's brave enough to be laughed at cause, heck, she likes to laugh too. Not in a malicious way, but she can also see the humor in things. She can laugh at herself and not let it get to her in a negative way. Others might laugh at her expense, but she can laugh at herself too and accept that part of her and keep moving forward. She likes to laugh, she likes to have fun, and will see the good in herself and others in a positive way despite what life throws at her. "I fell down a lot, I hurt a lot, I was laughed at a lot, But then I realized, I just need to weed it all" I made lots of mistakes in life, I've been hurt, I've been laughed at, but instead of getting down and negative towards myself, I realized I just need to weed all that out of my life. Get rid of all that negativity! "Let's start picking up the little, Extras of life" Let's enjoy the little things in life that bring us joy. Don't worry about the negativity and hardships life throws at you. Run through that bumpy street that is life and don't mind what others think and enjoy yourself for who you are and what you want from life. Rub-a-dub-dub (sound of a drum beat), hallelujah (hallelujah)!

Guilty gear in general has some very fun songs if you're more into heavy/rock stuff, as you said you have played the previous games. If you're looking for similar stuff, try "Roar of the spark" "Mirror of the world" and "love the subhuman self". Although I personally prefer the rock ballad songs from the older titles such as Freesia and Icarus if you'd like to try those instead to see Daisuke's scope.

That "taunt" at the end with the devil horns/peace sign is actually her standing punch lol, and she does the same in her crouching punch too The ending bit of that song hits right in the soul for me man. The motif there is such s crystal clear reuse of the beginning of her theme from Xrd called Marionette, which was a much darker more serious sounding song. It feels like a really beautiful resolution to hear it used so triumphantly. You hear it a couple times in the song but it's the clearest at the end She has a sister named Ramlethal. They both use the name Valentine as like a last name because that is the name of the type of artificial being they are. There's also Jack-O Valentine, who was made by a different person than Elphelt and Ram, but has similar functions. There also used to be one just called "Valentine", but she's currently dead and so it's unlikely she'd come back, but in the story Ramlethals creation was like a response to the original Valentines death and what caused it. Ramlethals theme is a really dope prog rock song that starts out with both a male and female singer dueting before the male singer (Naoki, the guy you're used to hearing) takes over as the female singer (AISHA, who I don't think you've actuakly heard yet) fades out. Jack-Os theme is controversial but in my opinion anyone who hates it is LAME it's awesome, it's all by AISHA she's the goat. This song Extras is ALL by Molly Daisy, her first time having anything to do with the series afaik. She did the growls and the melodic parts all by herself she's insane. I'm guessing they wanted 1 singer that could do both so they hired her.

"Im scared of the laughter" She is scared of being laughed at "but I love to laugh my self" she understands however that happiness is deribed from many things. So why get caught up when people laugh at her and instead laugh with them. Also a lot of the weird things like "rub a dub" and some sections of the song have to do with christmas because she was born on christmas. Also the amazing grace section is because she loves the idea of romance and wedding and thats a common song for weddings. Also the amazing grace section with weeds is essentially saying that to have a good life all she needs to do is weed out all the annoying parts of her life.
