Beeyeon Ahn Yes it's true that she was a sub-vocalist since their debut but only till the departure of BESTIE members. She became a lead vocalist since OT5. It is very evident in her vocal abilities (tho not as good as Hyerin), you can see it in her solo performances (Masked Singer, etc.). Her share of lines also prove it as she gets a fair share of vocal parts, she even gets more lines than her fellow lead vocalist Hyerin in a lot of occasions. Nowkpop and Misskpop (popular Kpop profile makers) also refer to her as a lead vocalist.

exid really knew how to toe the line between funny and sentimental. in this mv, there is the comedy behind the silly pepper scheme, but it never gets in the way of the sentimental part of the song. it never feels like this song isn't sad and bitter. and even with the little comedy parts and the ridiculous pain, we can still genuinely feel the grief the girls are portraying. i love exid so much, no one is doing it they way they did.

I still remember when an article once mentioned how fans worried EXID were done after "Every Night" due to the gap between it and "Up & Down" in 2014. This is a comment I posted here more than four years ago. Since it became buried in other comments long ago, I will repeat it again, as follows: "For reasons which are not disclosed, EXID decide to take revenge on a man (apparently an arrogant jerk) and his female companions. First they use apparatus to produce pepper juice extract and put it into glass vials. They then visit the jerk and smash the glass vials on the floor, releasing pepper juice gas which causes the women to go into violent fits of coughing or sneezing, and makes them spit all over the jerk in the process. The pepper gas seems toxic, causing either unconsciousness or death." I hope this provides some assistance in understanding this MV. Note that EXID has a tradition of releasing MVs that are somewhat controversial or at least out of the ordinary. And I should add that there is absolutely no connection between the song lyrics and the events in this MV. But that is also typical of most EXID MVs, with the exception of a few like Ah Yeah and L.I.E.

When I first watched this video, I thought Hyerin was the leader or something! I was brand new to kpop and I thought that. Gonna say this again, EXID's songs have this unorthodox sound. It's really catchy af. On another note, yes they are popular now, but they are still underappreciated and underrated like on this era. As for Ladies Code (R.I.P for the deceased members), I think two of the members were already on a survival program like superstar, so when they debuted the public immediately knew the group because of those members' popularity beforehand, it also helped that they had good vocals. So you see, nowadays in K-pop you either make it or break it, sadly the ones that make it are not always on the talented field.
