Dalshabet is back after a year and three months, as Joker's Harlequins.
In the title song "JOKER", guys who are attractive but play hard to get are compared to the character Joker. To fit this overall mood, analog jazz keyboard and brass sounds were arranged. "JOKER" will allow each Dalshabet member to boast her vocal skills and charms. In addition, the stage performance, of 6 Jokers and 6 Harlequins, is sure to capture your eyes as well.

there's something about this song that was different to other sexy concepts around this time in kpop... and i think it's because those songs have the energy of being written by men, for men to fawn over. this song is amazingly written, composed, and arranged by the member subin as i have found out (plus others), and from the lyrics alone i get this feeling of "this is a song written by grown ass women, for grown ass women to relate to." it's that same energy that spica gave me sometimes when i listened to all of their title tracks, some songs had that same "written by a mature woman" air to it, like russian roulette for example. i absolutely love songs like this. it's a shame i haven't gone down the dalshabet rabbit hole yet, but i will definitely remember to now! :)

I got this with shutdown by moonbyul, not from this period of kpop but she did the lyrics and i got this vibe of "sexy, but not sexualized" you know? It was definely about sex, but a woman talking about it and for other woman to apreciate and relate to it (and it was such a fresh take in a wlw relationship because we get especially sexualized by men thinking lesbians exist for the man fetish in lesbians, so definely a song worth listening to!)
