Honestly, not really. The 1uz is a wide V8 and the Carina has a narrow engine bay. If I had access to a hoist when I was making it it would have been 100 times easier. But lying on my back on the floor of my garage trying to tac it up with a Tig welder was not enjoyable. Only thing worse was doing the engine mounts.
