In italy we use to catch perch 0.16 fluorocarbon braid with really smaller lures , I think it's pretty normal you didnt catch any perch with that braid and those lures in italy with that staff you wouldnt catch anything.

from my point of view, there are always exceptions to the rules in fishing even if we always have those days where we can't find the fish or can't get them to bite. maybe you could have good fishing with jerkbaits, spinnerbaits…

Random Fisher hahahaha amateurs that all have caught big pikes ;) a pike doesnt really care about the leader when focused on your lure. I only use 50cm leaders and i catch some pikes, they probably can see my grey braid easily
