Could some kind AoE-Expert explain to me why the TC is 1 tile away from the Gold at 14:15? Is it just because Viper feels like it (maybe wants vision 1 tile further) or does it actually has some benefit regarding economy?

Pretty sure it’s cuz you always want one tile between mining resources. Wood you want right on the line tho. Think it’s cuz you can put the vills all on the gold and they barely move to drop it off

Reducing the congestion of vills walking to and from the camp outweighs the 1 tile extra distance. Minerals don't deplete and increase the walking distance nearly as fast as treelines do.

@@filodipicori Yes, but it is a TC and you can stand right under ("in") it so you don't have to walk at all..? With mining camps I 100% agree, but TCs I always build right next to it (at least the front part where you can walk through the building).
