amazing that this game is still alive :D please tell, how does the crossbowman inflict poison from the get go? (i just know the official game and there is a 4 point upgrade to increase damage and grant poison but besides that, neither crossbows nor bandits inflict poison or any debuff)

Game has been remastered and changed in the new Zen Edition on Steam. That is one of the changes.

Are Kabuki warriors better than dragon warriors?

They are used in different situations. The only common thing for these two is huge magic resistance, but kabukis have magic damage, resist explosive and cutting but weak to blunt, dragon warriors have cutting melee damage and magic missile, resist blunt but do not resist explosive and they are weak to cutting. Kabukis also have super useful battle gears so they are important at late game, but dragon warriors are needed for dragon monument so it might be a good idea to have 2-4 of them with chi shield

kabuki warriors for the most part are much more useful than dragon warrriors. dragon warriors are very situational since they are weak to cutting which is the most common damage type and have kinda bad battle gears compared to kabuki which has two very useful battle gears.

Yes, late game in 1v1, almost impossible for Serpent to win against Dragon
