He learned something I learned. There is no point in going carry fangs into a board that starts with Stormcaller. You can't out anti-missile the storms enough for your fangs to level in rounds 3-4-5. Placing down 2+ temp AMD is a big risk. Investing deployments & credits into Mustangs means fewer fangs at those crucial early rounds. He also waited until R4 to get his first fang tech, a bit late I think even if his fang are already lvl 2. In other words, I tried forcing carry fangs into a similar board multiple times several ways. On the other hand, he could be using one of the best methods to learn. Take a strategy and force it every game. Learn the ins and outs. Where does it work. Where doesn't it. Then move onto a different strategy. Now you have several strategies you can use in appropriate situations.

That is true. He could be testing things. I have to say, though, I've been enjoying the Fang meta 🤣 War Factory, not so much.

Incredibly impressed with your play. You had such a lead you could soak an entire orbital and still win the round! Guess after that update the fang Giant combo is a little weaker. Do you think he would have done better with Vulcan than fortress?

@@TheEarlofBronze1 i think his mistake here was the lack of response for the stormcallers. More crawlers, am mustangs, wasp push or even an am factory would have made a huge impact.

​@@sirreetweedledoo925 oh for sure, but considering he was set on giant-fang, I was curious which would be better against whopped's lineup. I've never even played Mechabellum but my impression was Vulcab would do way better against all the stormcallers and snipers than Fortress. Which is why I was surprised to see q 1700 commit to them.

I think I would have been okay against Vulcan because my Arclights have Armor Enhancement, which does a good job against fire. I think he needed to make it a little less obvious what he was doing and use his level advantage to his advantage--Arclights, Crawlers, couple of Marksman, etc. But I am not too sure because I've never tried Elite Fort/Fang. I think the best answer is to not run it into Storms if I'm being honest. (Thanks for the kind words btw)
