well i played with a friend against 6 bots on hard. and we are playing this for 12 Hours now.. we use a population mod and we are unable to beat them, because they got all the counters evrytime :(

Okey, at Nano it is basically all about slowly moving forward with Artillery. All your focus should be to aid the artillery as good as you can. Use other units to give line of sight (so it can shoot from far away) and make AA's hospitals etc etc to protect them. it's not really about counter at this point. Spamming some air-storms from Tempests is also great idea. Gives LoS and defends vs Air

What benefits give capitoly in compare with town centre? And why do you need to build houses?

Populating the settlement gives you more gold/iron/stone if the settlement/tc/capitol is within 2 squares. When 1 citizen gatheres 15 iron and deposit it into a settlement you get 15 iron. If it deposit 15 iron into a capitol with 47 population you get 30 iron. Populating is very expensive so only recommended when you don't have any more gold/iron/stone mines available. Houses give morale (those green dots under the unit). 1 morale (1 green dot) means your units take 10% less damage. In Standard Game variant you can get up to 6 morale so 60% less damage taken. It's because the enemy computers are programmed to advance epochs AFTER the player(s) do(es). If you notice, he stays in the Prehistoric Age (docks are not yet available to build) and other eras much longer than later ages to allow himself to build a substantial defense around his island and a booming economy. In by stock-piling resources this way, a snowball effect can be seen in the time it takes for him to advance forward in epochs. He does this so fast, the computers cannot keep up and don't have access to air/anti-air units. Thus, they are soundly defeated.

Furthermore, ai advances before player after some time and only on hard game mode, it has unlinimited resources because sierra wasnt able in those times to make ai play very hard to be able to bit players. Maybe they were lazy so they used easiest solution... Move maps after giving an order are not working perfect also what can maks ai play worse, for example when you give an order to attack, unit doesnt go exactly toward an enemy but sometimes it goes weird way or go in straight horizontal or vertical line, go ahead of enemy and then go back to him

1. If you set up your economy so you can rush through the epochs the computers wont be able to keep up. Which is why you see me staying in Copper much longer than needed, just to set up my economy. 2. I play on very fast game speed. If you see on the upper right hand corner there are numbers: 2.50 00.00.00. the 2.50 in the beginning means the game speed is very fast, and the numbers after that is just the time. So 00.30.00 means 30 game time minutes have passed.

EEKazter in aoc this wont work. cpu will always be around your age, no matter how fast you are. i.e. if you need 1h to get to nano age, the cpu will need 1:05 or so. if you need 4h, the cpu will need 4:05 or so. and even if the cpu collects no ressources, he will still produce units.

@@PhilBushay Probably, i dont remember xD But sometimes it's buggy and the game allows you to land even though there is a wall. We call this "wall jumping" and it's frowned apon in multiplayer games.

Download porting kit and buy gold edition through gog.com Then you can unwrap the offline installation file of EE into porting kit. The game itself works well, but be careful to turn off any hot corner on your mac that would cause the game to leave fullscreen because it messes it up.

Very nice video, thx for the upload! Although first attack hitting at 50 min. of game time does not seem right to me.. at least not on HARD at 1v7 with vanilla AI :D But sadly, I have not played EE in ages, so maybe I am just remmembering it wrong...

+maxidejf Computers have always cheated on EE. One way they cheat is they follow you up in age. So if you rush stone age, they will also rush stone age. If you don't however, they will go stone f11 45. This goes for every singe p2n compstomp in EE history, no matter what version you're using.

+EEKazter Yep, I always loved to disable fog of war and watch those cheating bastards create stuff without any harvesting. :D But I never realized that they rush with the players through the epochs (makes sense). So if you start a game at stone age, this strategy would not be viable. :/ BTW, found out about NeoEE about one month ago,. I am definitely about to sign up and kick up some EE games very soon! Does NeoEE community also have some crazy players who sets up their games to be loooooong? Back in my EE days we used play on gigantic maps, turned off deathmatch, etc.. to have about 5 hrs. long matches... loved those :D

@@EEKazter it happened to me a while ago something different in the expansion, I was playing against 2 AI enemies and one of them was following me, we were at age VI or VII, and the other team was at age I...it only happened once tho cuz most of the time they follow me all the time

This video is great if you want to spend an hour watching someone gather and spend resources in a painfully inefficient manner, advance through the ages at a snail's pace, and ultimately militarize in a lackluster and anticlimactic fashion.

Can't argue with you there. The reason I played the compstomp this way is because the computers in Empire Earth basically 100% cheats. If you rush up in age early on they will follow you "for free" since they are cheating, and makes winning this a lot harder. By gaining tons of resources before I eventually start to "rush" through the epochs I'm able to out speed the computers. If you know a better way to win versus 7 hard computers with these settings please let me know! If you want to see efficient and fast paced games you should watch my other videos against real people. Specially the 1 vs 1 games.

Enemy transport boats are not able to land their units on top of settlements, they work as a wall and blocks access to my island.

ahmet yunus ulutaş He does this because when settlements have 5 citizens garrisoned, it becomes a Town Center, and will be able to PRODUCE CITIZENS. This will increase his citizen count a lot, and thus increases his economy when he allocate those citizens to collect other resources.

I think he also builds them because you need to build at least 2 unit-producing (or Wonders, fortress, hospitals, or universities) buildings to be eligible to advance to the next epoch.

EEKazter Oh, I get it, you built settlements until you had enough resources to build walls. Then once you had enough workers gathering stone you built the walls. Another question, how come the other ships never destroyed your towers?

EEKazter I love you so much, my favorite part of this game is building the civilization and seeing it go through the ages. With most maps and no matter what I tried to do, it seemed that the enemy would always send their troops and overwhelm me. Now I can build a paradise surrounded by walls so now no enemy ship can land their people on my land. It is the best way to focus only on going up in the ages, which is my favorite part of the game!

if your gonna get new soldiers they should at least have sex going on! the more Sl-Women you have the more forces you can produce! a part of me would prefer if the age didn't change during battle. i was thinking this is another RTS where the AI is worthless. then 23:21 happened! you can save the game? that's terrible...you shouldn't be able to save mid game in a RTS :/... they ran out of resources i guess they stopped attacking halfway through or earlier. yeah it was pretty boring since they had no income to make decent forces. funny how we still are not in a "Nano age" while the tech does exist it's still rare.

that was a hint: you use just 3/4 citizens to build up towers on the beaches as you already know 40 minites to do that... You put docks to fill in the empty spaces among towers that you build as you was doing then when you are in 3 age you put walls

House gives morale. Do you notice the green dots under the units/towers? 1 green dot means your unit takes 10% less damage. So with 4 houses inside capitol range you take 40% less dmg

Empire Earth froze on me when I played it on Windows 10 and set compatibility to Windows 98, but when I removed that compatibility setting, it run smoothly for some unexplainable reason. There're also some games you have to do something like making a bat file to taskkill explorer.exe or whatever offending background processes to properly running it. While other can run on Windows 10 without a fuss. Old game are finicky like that. I guess.

Online we always start with 20 citizens when we play SH setting (standard high resources). And 5 with TL or DM. That's why I did 20 here. I enjoy TL setting the most and there we start with 5 so I understand where you're coming from :D

I use pause to give more commands to workers and army. If you select a citizen that is carrying a resource and don't have them drop it off before going to collect a different resource you lose it. I never play that many epochs in a single game. Mostly dark.

The computers will go up in time to Stone age at around 40-45 f11. If you wait longer than that to evolve to Stone, you will be in prehistoric age, and they will still come.

This is hard bots and they had the same amount of population as I did. You can try same strategy yourself. My towers kills off most of the boats when you play like this.
