What you take professionalism to do these things .

It was also Dave Kelly in 1993 through Terror Fabulous that voiced Frisco Kid’s big speech on the pepperseed riddim and gave him his first big hit. Things didn’t work out well for him at Shocking Vibes though he toured with them. Spragga link him with the Mad House Crew and he left Shocking Vibes and that is where he made his name and really made the big hits that we associate with Frisco Kid. I think you are forgetting that he left Shocking Vibes for Mad House @90s DancehallKid.

@thatguyaga1n7 жыл бұрын
TTH 808 Yeah obviously. But to be fair it started in England with Saxon in the 70s. They took the fast chat (double time spitting) style to Jamaica and back to England with people with the Soundsytem culture, then Jungle movement and then the likes of Heartless one of the first to do it on garage music. Then garage, to Grime.
@thatguyaga1n7 жыл бұрын
Same format though. Loads of man (sometimes gals) feeding off each other's vibes and pre-written lyrics - sometimes clashing, but better when not - spitting on brand new riddims and favourite riddims (no matter how old the riddim is). In a radio studio its called "sweaty mic" sessions because it's typically a tiny room, very hot, with lots of guys in there on a vibe. They call it foundation, cos if you can't spit your lyrics and make them fit to any speed riddim on the spot then even if you buss, you'll probably be a one hit wonder - so it's your solid musical foundation. If you can spit like this, you become timeless and you can work with any producer, any music given the opportunity. If music was football it would be equivalent to how Brazilian footballers play when they are kids. Fighting for time, fighting for space and then being genius when they get the ball in a different random and complicated scenario every time.

Any music where an MC raps over a beat comes from JA, the inventor of Hip Hop DJ Kool Herc is Jamaican and moved to the Bronx as a child. It's actually his birthday today!
@thatguyaga1n7 жыл бұрын
Aaron bc Count machuki born in 30s. Uroy born in 40s. Both Jamaican yes. But not fast style - double speed. If we just talking about lyrics over beats , then that's Africa before the two above, but fast chat pioneers is Saxon (Lewisham U.K.)
@thatguyaga1n7 жыл бұрын
Grime and Dancehall is a direct descendant of Fast Chat. Fast chat slower version comes from Reggae (JA), and before that Mento (JA) and before that Africa.
