Those are cute but pretty fragile! I ordered four from H.D. and all four arrived with cracks all over the clear top. Meaning that neither the quality nor the durability is good. Even if they fell on the floor, they shouldn't break that badly. I have had many organizers before and I have never seen the clear lid crack in such a way before. The first generation is 100 times better. It is more durable and stronger. It has never failed me!

I bought this system thinking these half organizers were available, and nope! I can't find or order them anywhere. Also can't find baskets or the large organizer in 2.0 (only 1.0). I might return them because Ridgid doesn't seem to care about its line or its customers. If anyone knows where i can get this stuff, please let me know

There is a lip on the lid the bottom foot slips under to catch on, then use the handle to lock in place. This is a nice design. The latch on the rolling mobile 2.0 is loose when I tried the cold box.

These smaller cases cannot be found anywhere! I have only seen them on reviews. None of the 4 Home Depot stores I have been to have them and you can’t find them anywhere online. I want some but I guess I am SOL.

Not 100% sure but I think that there is a difference in the thickness of the 'catch' on the old 1.0 clear top boxes vs. the new 2.0 Compact Small Parts Organizer, at least that is my best guess.

Do they? I take that over a latch that is overly tight to open or close because what that does is damage the hinges on the back to some degree, especially on those clear cases. I know the Dewalt was notorious with this problem where they begin to crack the clear lids by the hinge area. If you are talking about the side latches to lock them in place then I am going to tell you that's a problem from the manufacturing. I know some of them latch better even though they are the exact same organizers, but for whatever reason not every unit has the same retention. The one I have the most trouble latching it onto is the crate. I can never find one that latches with enough tension.
