First broadcast: Nov 2014.
Episode 17/17 Jake and Dinos Chapman have built an international reputation with their provocative, morally unsettling art. From grotesque childlike mannequins with misplaced genitalia to apocalyptic dioramas of decapitated Nazi soldiers, their work has shocked and challenged audiences around the world.
This film follows the brothers as they prepare for a new show in their home town of Hastings, which will include some new works expected to generate controversy. We see them at work in their London studio, overseeing the painstaking, handcrafted work on their 'hellscape' installations, discussing their defaced Goya prints and new pieces including One Day You Will No Longer Be Loved, a series of old portraits they've sourced from junk shops and given a Chapman Brothers makeover.
We discover who does what in this artistic partnership and hear their views on the criticism they have faced. As they return to Hastings to open the exhibition, we find out how they feel to be bringing their art home.

feels more like art-theatre than art. They manipulate other artists works. Which is ok I suppose some people like it.

Oh it's so sad! Robson and Jerome are being bad boys! My mind drifts to the recent ISIS be headings and how Goya's work still rings true despite these deluded peons best efforts.

Perhaps next in line could be altering Rembrandt drawings for some ridiculously superficial reason. One Goya demands more respect than their entire body of "work". Another fire would constitute a wonderful alteration of the brothers endeavors.

If they were to read that, I suspect you would bring enormous smiles to their faces. Cheers ;)

Please educate me. Why are they so bad? Does anyone really know what good art is? In a world to some that still regards the rich as more viable and accomplished, the last century has seen the point and reason of art move around like a pinball. Those artists who feed (by confusin) the rich with their exclusivity may lack integrity but these guys can draw at least. The famous artist gets rich but yes he may not be the best at 'art' but who is then? And why. Isnt the best music that which sells the most? Of course not, what position must we take to judge all this?

They're cute and all but it's kind of disappointing that the Chapman bros haven't really evolved from the jokey work they did two decades ago... the jokes are still fun but... it's just a bit sad.
