using an automatic pipette is different than using a glass pipette and has more sources of uncertainty: calibration uncertainty drift from day to day temperature here effects mechanical parts of the pipette in addition to effecting the volume of the liquid speed of delivering rinsing of tip using the right tip type of liquid delivered the angle of pipette with the liquid surface

True.. But cleaning glass pipettes is such a pain in the neck.

what is the uncertainty though? +- 1 microlitre?
