as always, I think it turned out great! I spent right at $3,000 this year for my fireworks display and had about as many 500 gram cakes as you did! It great to learn so much from you! so many people told me "your display was better than our city park display" and they were leaving that show to come 2 blocks down to watch ours! and a neighbor had like 20 people sitting outside watching us! great times for us pyro enthusiasts!

@@koolburn5218 if you were to buy a regular case of 500 gram cakes you make get a 1, 2, 3, or even 4. But in a 1/1 only one cake comes in a case which means it is usually super big.

I just want to say THANKS! I had a death in the family and I had to put on a show to celebrate his life. I’m used to lighting fireworks with a small click lighter and trying to light multiple and run away. I watched your video’s and you helped me BEYOND BELIEF! Great show Cody. I learned a new safety tip this year after my neighbor had a cake blow apart and started shooting out in all directions. I now wrap every cake securely with strapping tape before lighting them and use sand bags to hold them in place.

Since I live in the country we are able to shoot every day of the year pretty much! But mainly in the month of July. So I still got a ton of fireworks for the month yet.

Technical you can light fireworks on your own property between 7am to 11pm I go to the hood to shoot fireworks the don't gaf

LOVE the PIP view of the launch area, and the water tower in the main screen was a welcome addition, it seemed to anchor the shot. If its breezy / windy when the fireworks go off and screen is just skyward and solid black it makes it look like the camera is moving, its VERY disorienting. Having a stationary object also helps with scale and awareness of the scope of the show. Still waiting on that grand finale ;-)

Hey Cody, Thanks for the amount of videos that you film and naming and showing the varieties. It really helps the rest of us get a better feel for what we like. Since this stuff isn’t cheap, that really helps. Tell us all if we should even venture forth this week expecting to find after the 4th deals on fireworks. Absolute blast to watch your videos! 2021 New Years was completely insane! Need to bring back more canister shells, the 500g cakes are fantastic and you time them extremely well but the noab's/canisters really give you that "next level" punch that turns heads. Why is it crazy? Commiefornia is not a good place to use fireworks because it is so easy to start a forest fire and kill people on accident who are asleep and can't get away from it in time.

There is a firework company that has an alien logo. I can't remember what it was called but I bought a cake they made that was rectangle shaped but it was wider on top long ways than the bottom so if you looked at it from the side it's shaped like a folding fan. Anyway that was one of the coolest cake fireworks I've ever bought. It basically had a bunch of small tubes fanned out with multiple shots in each tube. They shot in rows back and forth so it looked like a gun shooting at fighter jets or something. Really cool cake if you ever find one get it.

Hey Cody are you into model rocketry? It's like fireworks and very loud and fun, and you get to recover them and fly again, and you get to build them an eventually fly payloads so you can find your altitude, flightpath, and direction.

@@michaelwerner1478 you'd be surprised. an entry-level kit can go as low as 20$. its just the motors that are expensive, but that is solved if you use re-usable casings for the larger rockets, they eventually pay for themselves. and you can just buy bulk packs of motors at he same price as a 200g cake. at least for the 18mm diameter ones.

Also, I was able to grab the last case of Excalibur platinums when I went on my road trip to Pennsylvania to buy fireworks. I probably never would have known or appreciated what they were unless I had watched ur vids! They were freaking amazing!!! My son went nuts when he saw them. "Dad it's the last box grab em!" Haha. Cody, I live in a state where we can sell aerial fireworks but we cannot light them off. Would you do a segment on fountains and ground effects for states that ban use of aerial firework. To be able to make show stopping shows with just safe and sane fireworks. I always struggle to know what to get and how to determine good fireworks versus cheap. Any help would be much appreciated. I have been in the same boat before, there are some badass fountains that get peoples attention, the crackling ones alway seem to do the trick but its hard to remember the names haha ive done few shows with just fountains and the average person seems to enjoy it if you set up the right amount
