Learn How to Solve 2-18 Hibbeler Statics Chapter 02, "The truck is to be towed using two ropes. Determine the magnitude of forces FA and FB acting on each rope in order to develop a resultant force of 950 N directed along the positive x axis. Set theta = 50 degrees." Can we do this by breaking the forces ibto rectangular components
@solutionsmanual95352 жыл бұрын
Yes you can the answer would be the same

While applying yhe law of cosine why the angle is taken beta whynot alpha
@solutionsmanual9535 Жыл бұрын
Because I was interested in finding F' . In cosine law we take the angle that is opposite to the considered side of the triangle. I hope it will help!
@faryalgul8033 Жыл бұрын
@@solutionsmanual9535 so if we were finding f1 or f2 so we'll consider alpha or beta
@solutionsmanual9535 Жыл бұрын
@@faryalgul8033If you are finding f1 by cosine law you would have to use (theta+30) degrees and if you have to find f2 by cosine law then you would have to use (45-theta) degrees. I hope this will help !

I don't understand that why Fr is 900
@solutionsmanual953525 күн бұрын
Because it's given in the problem statement (Line 2). Here Fr is the magnitude of resultant force. I hope it will help!!

i dont understand how u got F

The forces F1,F2 and F are concurrent on the opposite vertices of the parallelogram, it means that F and F'(resultant of F1 and F2) are collinear. So the resultant of all three forces is a diagonal Fr=F'+F. The values of Fr and F' are known you can rearrange the equation and get the value for F. I hope it will help! 🙂
