Thank you for measuring a variety of lengths! I've seen many reviews, and yours is the first I've found to provide that detail. It's very helpful as I'm considering replacing/complementing my qucklok M18 pole saw.

I own one. This thing absolutely rips! It’s unbelievably powerful and very well built. I use 6.0 high output batteries and only need two of them and can cut for a long time. I highly recommend. It cuts much faster than a gas Stihl ms170 chainsaw.

I'll pick it up when it goes on sale. I already own an Echo & stihl gas pole saws. They've been great. Just hope they made it durable enough for tree services & arborist's

I can't wait to get my hands on one of these. I currently have the Quik-Lok version and while it cuts good I get very frustrated with it due to the length of the pole sections. Many times the base tool is too short and added a fixed extension makes it too long. You can never seem to have just the right length. The telescoping tool will rectify that situation. I like the protrusion on the back of the motor. When standing the saw on end you can now rest it on the handle instead of directly on the battery as with the Quik-Lok version. It will be nice to see the Quik-Lok and telescopic saws side by side as it looks like they've made some design changes to the saw itself - which surprises me. I also like the on-tool scrench storage as I cannot tell you how many times I find myself out cutting and the tool is back in the garage when a chain adjustment is required. They store the scrench on-board the M18 chain saws, why not on the Quik-Lok saw? The only possible negative with this telescoping saw may be the weight. Don't you also have the Quik-Lok saw? It would be nice to see a side-by-side comparison of cutting ability and weight. As much as I'm looking forward to the telescopic pole saw, I am literally drooling waiting for the telescopic pole lopper.

Very nice. I want one. I have the husqvarna version which is very similar except the motor is at the head end which makes it heavy on cutting. The Milwaukee one looks like the better option. Would like to really try it out. Also your detailed review is very useful and glad to know the head is replaceable in case it gets damaged.

Does this take regular chain/bar oil? My auto oiler doesn't seem to be working properly, and it's brand new. Thanks for your time

Great video Tim! I would try this with the 14 inch top handle saw bar! More cutting diameter but at what power cost??? Great upgrade from the quick lock pole saw from a couple years ago!!!

25 MPS on chain speed sounds pretty good to me, better then most battery saws. I wish more people gave the MPS......

My biggest concern with these Milwaukee high power 18v products is battery failure and the very high cost of replacement batteries. I had the Milwaukee chainsaw with high capacity battery lightly used and the battery failed for no reason. The replacement battery costed 40% more than a new gas powered Echo chainsaw which had more power. I trust Milwaukee for the lower power equipment but not for these products. Many others have similar experiences.

I am Milwaukee fan boy from Thailand. I should to jump from Milwaukee to Dewalt 60v because untrusty in 18v heat problem. And both of DCST972 string trimmer and pole saw Attachment is suck. The trimmer is to shot if compare to Makita . And Pole saw is construction with poor and cheap. It shack as hell incase of change the longer bar. Really upset with it.

2.35hp means that 18v battery is pushing almost 100 amps. Theres no way those batteries arent goingb to fail if theyre pusing 100amps out

You don’t run it non stop so it has time to cool. Mine is amazing. This thing beats every gas or battery pole saw on the market by a mile.

@@cliffordmontana4562 Are you sure? Stihl just came out with an upgrad from their 135 to a 160 HTA. I'm trying to find anyone at all that has used the 135 to compare to Milwaukee. I would be thrilled to meet someone that has actually used the 160.

@@raheppe I haven’t used the new Stihl, but I already had 20 Milwaukee batteries and got this pole saw for $480. It was a no brainer. It’s an absolute beast!
