We had these kind of tests in our datacenter and it was always very exciting. We had to call the power suppliers to prevent power outages as we needed to run the whole data center without electricity from outside. Nice video!

What kind of facility needs multiple 2.5MW generators, and why does the NSA need to continually collect the vast amounts of metadata that it does when it can't even make sense of what it already has?

Hospitals, too.

There's enough power there to run a small city let alone a hospital 😂
@doofhund35263 жыл бұрын
@@tycummin59 Hospitals are small cities. My hospital had 4 - 2.25 MW gensets to fully backup the hospital campus.

The hospital I work at has 2× 2MW and 3× 550kW for only the essential loads

That's some bad deflection on those flex pipes

Mr Diesel i’m surprised they work like that... i’m holding one in my hand right now wondering HOW they got it to flex like that 😆 they don’t move like braided ones

Those turbochagers and manifold sure are hot, even at a derate. Given the air filter layout I'd hazard a guess those are C175s? What sort of EGT would cause that sort of glow and does it happen often?
@RDC_Autosports6 жыл бұрын
Davey R yep C175 says it in the description lol..they are acert engines EGTs are about 2-400* hotter, they run about 20 more lbs of boost then a 3516... it’s for emissions that’s why the charge air side paint is burnt and it depends on the thermal he’s using mine will show it glowing red at 600*
@inothome2 жыл бұрын
@@RDC_Autosports It's not a thermal cam, normal CCD cameras will pick up near infra-red. I see purple manifolds on my gens when under a decent load, if hot enough with my cell cameras all the time.

how much fuel does that use
@bartbenson86183 жыл бұрын
Depends but its measured in gallons per hour.
@doofhund35263 жыл бұрын
I had D3516's that burned 148 gallons at full load.
@michaelparker50723 жыл бұрын
As a rule of thumb,a diesel generator will use fuel at the rate of 1/10 of a gallon per kwh,or 0.45 ltrs per kwh

How many gallons per hr those it burns?

Сколько тепловой энергии пропадает, надо ставить водяной теплообменник и получать горячую воду
