Definitely the craziest record in Clock history. Another Poland Clock W added to the pile. We might have Yunhao 2.0 on our hands. Congrats! The jump is extreme, but I doubt it'll last more than 15 months even if nobody is capable of beating it now without an impossibly unlikely fluke. This is still 7 simul as vanilla as it gets.
@akcub3Ай бұрын
how much less vanilla can simul get tho
@CalebTrelfordАй бұрын
@@akcub3 A bunch considering that there are 37 other 7 simul pin sets that often lead to 6 simul solutions or less on scrambles where it is not possible (or easy) with the Zhang pin set. Top solvers are just doing the same thing every solve with no optimizations with one pin set. Current 7 simul is literally as mechanical and thoughtless as Pochmann. 7 simul could not be more vanilla than it is in the current meta. I don't know where the misconception that 7 simul is optimized comes from.
@Clonkyboy26 күн бұрын
@@CalebTrelfordinteresting take. Would you say block building prediction or 1 look 7 Simul is a way to optimize the common 7 Simul memo/pin set? Currently studying block building prediction during memo now.🫡
@CalebTrelford26 күн бұрын
@@Clonkyboy Trying to optimize one pin set is like trying to find the best NS alg for a Skewb case. Sure, finding a better alg is beneficial, but there are much quicker ways to become faster at Skewb than just optimizing and drilling one alg (like learning other algs that can solve other cases). I don't know what you mean by "block building prediction." I believe that 1 looking is a good idea (I have no evidence to prove that it is, but nobody else has any evidence suggesting it isn't). If I were to start grinding Clock again (no free time moment), I'd force myself to 1 look every solve. I think that learning pin orders from different pin sets would be most beneficial (especially after getting 1 looking down). However, there are very few resources for this, and the ones that do exist are outdated due to the new regulations (even the main 7 simul pin order people use is likely suboptimal now).
@Clonkyboy26 күн бұрын
@@CalebTrelford the idea of block building prediction is basically linked to 1 looking 7 Simul, being able to know how many turns to do for the intuitive block building part. Because 1 look 7 Simul is just difficult to memo sub12 as of now, I have started to study cases that would skip or at least give me good block building/intuitive parts of 7 Simul. As of the moment, I have studied around 3 cases, all through visually tracing how many moves an edge needs to do to match a certain edge. These cases basically tell me if I can skip a part on the intuitive block building part or at least give me an idea how many turns to build certain parts of the blocks. Hopefully in the future, I can manage 1 looking the scram in under 12 seconds to be able to use it officially. Thanks for your insights!
