You're in europe right? As far as I know, rid is not required for self built drones in europe. Either it's sub250 without rid required, or over 250 and falls in category A3. Only prebuilt rtf drones like dji need to be certified in C1 for example from from the manufactoror directly. It must have rid for the certification. Unfortuatly this rid module has no benefit for self built drones in europe.

@@babang_des Just had a look if anything changed. Speaking for my local rules in germany, which are actually the same as the EU rules: Self built drones over 250g to fly in the *open* A3 category dont have a CX *certification* and cant get a certification even with RID. RID is not required to fly legally and has no benefit to add RID needed to comply. Although I read up france needs RID for All drones as a local law. Maybe Im wrong, but Im heavily into all drone stuff and havent heard of the german fpv comminity needing to add RID to fly. Maybe someone else here from europe can tell me Im right or wrong? But dont mix RID module with the law that you still have to register your pilot ID and Note it on the drone with a Label. Thats the law here. Needs to be ensured too. Thanks bro

That is true. However this is only if you flying at a non populated area. this is so confusing as ever country have the own local rules on tope of the EU regulation.
