Whatever works for you financially as a couple is great. My husband and I combine ours, however we both were young had nothing and everything we have now, 43yrs later we accumulated together. I don't think I sacrificed any control though. We make major decsions together. After 43yrs there hasn't been any financial infidelity. That's what I love about this community, seeing how we each achieve our goals.

I don’t combine finances with my hubby, even though we have a child and significantly different incomes. Hubby makes around 85k while I make about 40k at the moment. My daughter was born at the end of 2019, so 2019-2021 I had very little income. I’m expecting my income to be about 85k this time next year. Even though I’ve taken a pretty significant financial hit in the last 5 years, I STILL wouldn’t want to combine finances. Before people come at me, hubby covers most major expenses regarding housing, while I cover daycare, groceries and car expenses. Do whatever works for you :)

That’s the beautiful thing about split finances in a healthy relationship. It doesn’t mean things are 50/50. You can make your own agreements about what works for you as a couple ❤️

Love how u explained your agreement in finances. We are all so difference snd should never been fround apon for personal decisions. My and my husband have been together from 16 year and 19 years so what we have grown is a joint effort. He work and I was a stay at home mum for luckily 10 years + but he's always looked at he couldn't of worked if I didn't raise kids. My super is was low so have some work to do. But this system will allow me to be in control
