Hello Gokul - Check table works at the field level. Value table works at the domain level. Once you proceed in the same playlist , there is a topic - Primary-foreign key relationship, there you will find the use of check table. Currently there is no video on value table.

Hi sir, I assign values in domain. Fix value can take only limited characters. While maintaining my table, my table do not store its description. It stores the fixed value which is not a complete value. How can I achieve that? Please respond

Hello Rajat, This is the Main benefit of using Fixed Values. For Customer Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking will be visible, but SAP stores C, D, N as the length is 1. Example - Suppose We don't have concept of Fixed Values then, someone will put Credit Card in Capital, Someone will put only Credit, Someone will put only Banking, while someone will put Net banking. Now It is very easy as SAP has to store C, D, N.

But sir while maintaining the table, fixed values get saved not its description in my case. In your case, Credit card, debit card, all these values get saved to the table, in my case, values which are in fixed values get saved. How to resolve that issue

@@rajatdhatwalia7233 Hello Rajat, For Me also the saved values will be C,D and N only. As the length is 1 so database can not store more than one character. The visibility will be Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking. Currently you are maintaining data through which transaction code?

@@rajatdhatwalia7233 This is my Observation. 1) You created the table, You generated the TMG( Table Maintenance Generator) 2) After that You Maintained the fixed values in the domain. 3) Now you generated the TMG first, so fixed values will not appear in SM30 automatically, It means you need to regenerate the TMG. Refer this video to delete and regenerate the TMG - kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6arqn59qa-ojNk . You will get the fixed values in the form of dropdown, but database will store C,D and N only.

You can use, but if you have your own Fix values, Range of values and value table, then compulsory we need to create our own domain.

You can create a domain having Direct and Indirect values. GOTO-TRANSLATION( choose the translation language) . It navigates to fixed value of domain, double click and maintain the translated text. Use that domain in your requirement.

@@subossselvam SAP provided the translation for standard objects. For customized objects, we need to provide the translation.

Sir small doubt.. SAP has provided the option to create the fields with predefined type .. then why sap has provided the domain option ? What is the difference between these two things ?

Hello Sravani. Along with technical characteristics, domain has the provision of Value Range( Fixed values, Range of values, Value Table) , It has a provision to pass conversion Routine. If we require any of these things, then definitely we need to create our own domain. If we don't require such things, We can use pre-defined type.
