2 BABIES GONE. ACCIDENTAL DROWNING OR WAS IT ON PURPOSE?

The two children wandered off while playing outside together, and were found near a two-foot-deep duck pond by their home. Despite efforts by their mom, neighbors, deputies and medical staff, the children did not survive. Toni Guinyard reports for Today in LA on April 19, 2022.
Unimaginable tragedy struck a family in Lake Hughes late Monday night, when a young brother and sister were found dead after what appears to be an accidental drowning.
The two children, 4 and 3 years old respectively, were playing outside together near their home in the Antelope Valley, on Lake Hughes Road.
The property is, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials, 12 acres.
"Detectives later learned the children were last seen playing in the yard of the location,'' a sheriff's department statement said. "When the mother went to call them into the residence, she noticed the children were missing and began searching for them."

Usually if one child is having trouble the other one gets their parents. 2 inches drowning usually means your unconscious or a little baby. At 3 & 4 you usually can just stand up. One kid maybe but 2 kids very weird indeed. Keep on top of it. Stay safe!✌👍

A backyard with no fencing near a pond in the backyard. ! The children were allegedly playing in the backyard at approximately 6-7 PM . At this time the skys begin to get dark and the winds were blowing. The children were not dressed warmly for play time outside. These parents should have been arrested for child endangerment!

children’s names have been released the 4-year-old is Movses Aslanyan and the 3-year-old is Lilya Aslanyan (found on antelope valley times). keep doing the good work you do steve!!

It sounds very suspicious... but right now there's a lot of information we don't know yet. Lots of questions to investigate. AV & UWS FAM let's DISSECT this case and do what you do best. The bottom of the pond could have been muddy (need to check) if it was slippery the kids would have difficulty standing up. Many possibilities. The pond is huge for their size. Two feet deep? again a possibility. Three and a four year old. Need more clues.🧐 Just so heartbreaking. They are in Heaven with Jesus now. How do you let your three and four year old play outside unsupervised? The story I read does not state if the children were found in the water or not. If the pond is only 30 feet from the house how were the children not seen in the pond? Again, why were two toddlers outside unsupervised with a pond so close? Seems a bit suspect! I have young grandchildren ranging in age from 8 to 11 months and when they are here we are outside or they are inside! We live on a mountain and do not have a pond but there is uneven terrain. I just do not understand!🤔😠

It's actually not that uncommon for siblings & even friends to drown together. One child goes in & starts to struggle & the other one tries to get the first one out & ends up drowning as well. Or both are playing together & go in at the same time & things go south quickly. They'll often start struggling & will pull the other one under (not on purpose but just struggling). Same thing happens with adults too a lot of times, but adults have a much better understanding of the situation, the consequences & an actual fear of the situation. Children & adults who don't know how to swim can easily drown in shallow water b/c they start freaking out & panic & they don't realize all they have to do is stand up. Kids at the age of these kids (3 & 4) don't really have a fear of much yet & they don't have a comprehension of the magnitude of situations. Kids have an understanding of not wanting to get in trouble with their parents & they likely understand trying to offer aid to a sibling if they think their sibling needs help. I know of a couple of instances where 2 young siblings drowned (1 incident was the niece & nephew of one of my best friends - they were actually able to get the girl back doing cpr but she has permanent brain damage). When I was an EMT, I also assisted in a case where a 7 year old & his grandfather both drowned in 3-3.5 feet of water just beside a dock. The boy was playing around & fell off the side of the dock. He started struggling & went under (he was a pretty big kid & would've been able to stand if he hadn't panicked). His grandfather saw him go under, ran down to the dock & went in the water trying to find the boy & he ended up drowning as well. It was AWFUL!!!! I grew up in a county that was a peninsula with water on 3 sides & I actually grew up on an island so there were a lot of drownings. I don't think it's unusual at all for 2 toddler siblings to both drown together in shallow water & it only takes 2-3 minutes. It can happen so quickly & is often very very quiet. It's eery how silent it often is when someone drowns. It's very very sad!!!

I remember hearing cases very very similar to this one and the parents were arrested either for poor supervision, child abuse, neglect. Unless, you are a foster/adoptive parent. Or parents with Fame and Fortune. Those parents get away with it. I don't care how you slice it, it is incredibly weird that two children, three and four, died in two or three feet of water at the same time on the same day. It just does not make sense why didn't one of them stand up? I don't know. There's an awful lot of questions

If that's the picture of the exact pond it could be enough water for them to drown .... However, they are able to walk and stand depending on how deep the deepest part is they could of gotten submerged or caught on something underneath the pond. But BOTH CHILDREN ? Something definitely doesn't sound right!

More than likely the officer asked how long have you lived here? Have you let them outside alone before? If the parent said that they were kidnapped the officers would look for foot prints and tire tracks etc...

Very very sad situation!!!. Yes Steve, always spread the word on the two baby boys!!. Steve its parental neglect, there should have been a locked fence all around the pond. Or someone should have been watching them. I am not sure I would have believed a report of kidnapping, as it looks like a long ways for a 3 year old to go, to get to the road.

I was up to 260 so yeah I lost about 5 pounds- hopefully when summer hits I'll lose more....,last year I did alot of waking in the deserts in the burning up heat plus skipped meals. Guess we shall see how it goes this year. I know for a fact I'm going to buy some weights and start getting back in shape for sure.....
