Hey Diego! It’s Randy! We shared a meal at the Ouray Brewery in CO! I found out later, we were staying at the same motel. I’ve been enjoying your journey. I am back in CA. If you’re still on the west coast, stop by! Also I hiked the Perimeter Trail in Ouray the day after we met. I have a video of that on my channel if you want to reminisce! Good luck on your journeys! It was great meeting you!

I watched your episode and others in your channel, so fun to create content. I thank you for paying for my lunch in Ouray and for checking out what Im doing here in YT. Im back home in the Florida Keys after this last tour. Next time I'm in the west coast I would love to try and catch up with you. It was great meeting you as well. Be safe out there.

You were one of the best and somehow the quality of your videos keeps improving. Videography, story telling, right pace and no "social justice lectures". Just cycling and the hurdles of touring. I keep saying the same every season but I think this will be my favorite 😅
@FlyscoutRyder11 ай бұрын
Thanks Mario. This tour was a blast and I was a mad man recording it. As you will see, the content will continue to improve as the tour develops.

My bad, Im sorry I confused comments. Let me try it again. Im really psyched about this season. I had a ball but also chose a crazy route with lots of challenges that will make for great content. I also recorded like a mad man the further I got into the tour. The second half is crazy. NM, CO, UT, and CA were out of control. I hope you like this third episode that uploaded today.

Hi Randall. Thanks for saying that. The flashbacks and forwards are fun to do and have a goal in mind. I'm trying to share with the audience how a guy develops strength and confidence throughout a tour. And you are right, there are countless adventures coming.

I am so envious of the challenges you face on a daily basis......I have always wanted to Bicycle tour when I retire, in 2 years, but you make me second guess my intentions. Keep showing us all the hardes parts and most beautiful parts of your travels so we can look for a rout that is doable for those of us that are not in such great shape. God Bless you Diego and be safe on those roads and your travels...

Hi Chip. You are describing exactly the core of my channel. The idea is to show all the different ways you can tour across the country so the viewer can decide which way he or she would do it. I love rail trails and I love hard core high mountain passes during rough weather. You get to decide how you'd like to challenge yourself. It's all out there. Thank you for sharing.

Lots of climbing in this episode as you're heading through Georgia. It's hard but that's all part of a bike touring adventure. Mostly county roads. I see you never shaved 😅
@FlyscoutRyder11 ай бұрын
Hi Thomas. Looking forward to meeting you next month. Im addicted to climbing. Its so silly but even if you told me I couldn't do the downhill on the other side I would still want to climb away. Funny you mention n not shaving. My actor friend, Rita told me I needed to trim down so it would tell the story of time as the episodes come about. It was also a very hot start with a heat wave so I thought it would;d make it easier to deal with it. In MS I was in 105 degrees by 2pm and camping with lows of 85 in the early morning. Thanks for watching.
@417cycleguy11 ай бұрын
I have mixed feelings about the jump ahead. In this one tho I DO enjoy the contrasts of the climbs I’m also paying close attention to your style of vlogging; never more than 3-4 seconds of footage before changing. 😊 I’m going back to Moab in March for a weekend event and to practice my vlogging. Will recommence my Pacific tour in June You keep me excited!
@FlyscoutRyder11 ай бұрын
Moab is amazing and it will be in coming episodes. I rode thru there on this last tour. It's good to hear you are recommencing the west coast, so beautiful. I will always cherish my time there. The jumping ahead in the beginning and back at the end is to show the contrast of a guy starting out vs a guy deep into his tour. There is a confidence and strength you develop that I want to share with the viewers. The goal is to get you guys out there and I know we all have the hurdle of getting started.

I would love to do a review of this amazing bike, Lynskey GR300, I used on this last tour but I am extremely short on time so it's not likely any time soon. What I've done instead is a list of all the components that make up the bike including panniers and even the fenders. You can find it in the description box of the episodes. There you can also find all my camping gear. If you have any questions please let me know. Also, Jordan Myers at Lynskey can help you with more technical questions. Their customer service is top notch.

Another enjoyable series Sir. BTW, when did you get your Lynskey and how are you liking it? I’ve considered one. On another note I’m a serious SW FL angler and enjoyed watching you with the fly rod in your hand working from the front of the boat on a previous episode. 🎣😀

Hi Alan. Im on my last week of guiding season and then I plan on editing the rest of last years tour which still has 2/3 to go. I built my Lynskey to use on my last tour 2023. The list of the components I used are in the description box of all of season 4's episodes. I love the frame and the bike very much. I rode it 4,500 miles from Georgia to California and would more than recommend it. The guy to talk to at Lynskey is Jordan Myers. He can give you all the info you want and set you up. If you research Lynskey you will find a huge fan ship bering the brand. Thank you for reaching out.

dude, you pushing dat envolope!! hey does that titanium bike frame have any flex in it? i am sure it does and how does it ride compared to steel. it's lighter but i was just wondering!! if it ever broke, you could not fix it. it has to be tig welded!!
@FlyscoutRyder11 ай бұрын
I know it's always a concern to tour with titanium frames because of lack of flex but also the difficulty of repairing. All I can say is that I am not nice to my bikes and test them in all kinds of scenarios as I did with this one. I drop of curves and sidewalks, and often hit all kinds of things. Lynskey bikes are known for high quality welds and frames. I've never heard of any cracking. I love this bike and plan on continuing using it.
