Bead reaming should be done in water and it will work better. Also helps prevent the bead from overheating and cracking. 🙂

JEWEL school has a KZbin video on how to use that reamer. They did it in water so it doesn't get hot and easier getting it to go through. Nice bracelets.

I have a Dremel that is much more powerful. You should be reaming the beads under water especially pearls and gemstones to keep them from cracking. God bless you Wendy.❤️

Buy a dremel and a diamond reamer. I use that to clean my lampwork beads and it's game changer. Also, do it in water
@cleatishoskins82702 жыл бұрын
I agree this should be done under water. I just fill a small container , hold the bead under warter with just the bit portion of reamer in the water. This keeps bead and reamer from overheating which can crack the bead as has been stated already.

Very pretty nice pieces Wendy. As Jackie said the bead and the drill bit only they need to be under water while drilling.

Wonderful video, just a word of warning that some gemstones' dust can be toxic, so double check to stay safe 😊

FYI. When using a bead reamer you have to do both sides of the holes. Future reference

I am really late watching your video but I have a reamer just like yours and mine said to do it in water. I just either keep dipping the bead or stone or both in water.

Hi Wendy, How long is leather on the gemstone bracelet?...also, do you have a link for the sliders?...TFS

Wendy, I have been a fan of yours for quite a few years, a long time but I never ordered anything from you. Do you have a tray of different types of stones everything you need for making your beautiful jewelry just like you just did. I would love to order these from you. Can you please explain what I need to make this beautiful bracelet and necklace which is so beautiful. Love everything you do.

Hi Wendy, What a bummer about the reamer! Do you think if you ground the bead and reamer using water that that might help, kind of like wet sanding? It seems like it's going to burn out your little motor without the water or some sort of lubricant. I really love using the slider for a necklace as well as a bracelet. Can't wait to see your craft room tour as well! Thanks for your post!

A Dremel is much better. Use under water. You can change attatchments and use it for polishing as well.

They come in a few different sizes. I used the one with the 2mm hole on that necklace but if you want to use thinner chain, youd want to get the ones with a smaller hole

How well do those clasps hold up? Will the silicone inside eventually just wear down and the string or beading wire just slide through when you don’t want it to? Thanks!
