After a 14 hour flight from Johannesburg to Dubai then Cairo, I was in much need of some Traditional Egyptian breakfast. Luckily I stumbled upon this street market in downtown Cairo. Enjoy!

Welcome to Egypt, buddy.. I just want to make some things clear over here.. First, The breakfast at the restaurant cost you 13 EGP (5 for the coke, 5 for the water, 3 for the beans sandwich) but the guy's English isn't that good, so he said accidentally 30 instead of 13.. you paid 50, so he brought you the change but you said that it's fine so he took it as a tip. That restaurant doesn't serve coffee, so the waiter went to another coffee shop to get you a cup of coffee, but he was late. Second, The coffee cost you 7 EGP( that's the common price for coffee with milk), you paid 20 so you can wait and take the change but you left, so they took it as a tip. Third, the store named ISIS has no relation to ISIS the terrorists. Fourth, The Shisha isn't illegal in general, but it is now because of the virus. Fifth, what you hear at every shop in the morning is the Holy Quran, it's not music at all. I hope you visit Egypt again sooner or later, but next time, you should have a local with you, every thing would be much easier. much love from Alexandria, Egypt ♥

Salute you bro. Just to make it clear to you and whoever watches this video; this youtuber is not honest. He is always on wrong thoughts about Egyptians, he always accusing them for scamming and over charging him. Our Egyptian people are always friendly to him but he is talking bad shit about them. I'm from Saudi Arabia My father visited Egypt with his family when he was a kid 3 boys 3 girls and their mother and father and they've lost their luggage or it was late , One Egyptian man took them all to his home and allowed them to stay there without asking for any charge, They were basically treated like family They would eat all meals on the same table with the man and his family and sleep on their beds for around 15 days ! And the Egyptian man and his family and his neighbors were all absolutely happy that they have guests This is back in the 70s And my father is still talking about this Egyptian man and his genuine generosity . Much love and respect to the great people of Egypt.

i cannot lie as an egyptian-canadian i thought your entire interaction was soooo hilarious! You announce pretty much every single chance that you get that youre a foreigner, so it becomes even funnier when you put yourself in the egyptians' shoes, trying to rush through the breakfast place for a quick bite. And then your behavior was kind of like an athropologist when you review the sandwitch, "So this is what traditional egyptian breakfast is like" ... LOL! loved it bro

Admire how happy-go-lucky your attitude is and how you make tremendous efforts to go off the beaten track and speak the local languages... one note that others might have mentioned it in the comments, this, as you probably know by now, were Quranic recitations, not music. Interesting content you have... best wishes on all your trips.

Bro, I was in Egypt in January 2016, loved every moment of it. The biggest problem in that country is the corruption of the government. The people of the country have a tremendous amount of dignity. Their street beggars will sell something to you, even if it’s paper tissue, instead of begging you for money. If the government wasn’t so corrupt, that nation would be far better off. Unfortunately, like all of our middle eastern countries, the government keeps the wealth among a few elites and ensures that the remainder of the public lives slightly above poverty or starving and uneducated to ensure they don’t rise up...soon...they will and things will change.

@@MohamedHassan-ej2eq Absolutely right. It's not music. I like his videos but sometimes he shows his Western ignorance/arrogance a little. Saying "people will steal his camera" or everyone is a scammer. OR his shock at the ghetto and poor areas. As if Germany does not have slums or poor neighborhoods. It is these negative stereotypes that are annoying. But on the whole he is lovely, a little naive man. What his videos of Egypt HAVE highlighted is the warm, loving, welcoming, humble and funny people of Egypt. It's unfortunate that he did not interact with Egyptian women, but of course I understand the cultural taboos. I wish he had met educated, female and male Egyptians who would have shown him the real Egypt and he would have avoided the scammers. Love him. Didn't mean to offend him or anyone. Xxx

If he bothered to learn Salaam Walikum etc then why didn't he realize that Quran is played... And he does decent translation of the reply of from others to the viewers so I really felt like HE KNEW it is Quran but choose not to acknowledge it. And didn't filter coffee properly? 🤪 Almost as good as my son telling me there was motor oil sludge left in his cup 😂
