2) Muriel introduced you to "Central Hotel Hersonissos" in Crete from September 3 to 17, 2021 episode 2 We leave Heraklion International Airport "Nikos Kazantzakis". After traveling 22 km, we arrive at our destination. The Central Hotel of Hersonissos located 25 kilometers from Heraklion, is classified three stars. As its name suggests, this small building is in the center of Hersonissos near all amenities close to shops and 2 mins walk from the sea. It has an old and simple retro style facade and would need some updating. be modernized but the interior is very clean. IF YOU ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR COTTAGE AND COVER, this is the ideal place to spend your holidays because no activity is carried out within the establishment. Indeed, there are no animators or organizers but you will immediately feel at ease with the very friendly and caring staff. Wi-Fi is free and of good quality. At the reception, you are welcome 24 hours a day with day and night staff. The largest clientele is mainly English-speaking, Russian, German and Greek because the staff does not speak a word of French (stay in 2021). the swimming pool is open to the public from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is only sunny in the morning. It is located in a closed inner courtyard. It is accessed through the restaurant. To fight against Covid 19 in 2021, the establishment had opted for very strict hygiene measures (wearing a mask is compulsory in the restaurant with the obligation to disinfect your hands with hydro-alcoholic gel) You can take your meals inside the building or under the milky way, at the edge of the pool, with half board. It consists of a hearty French English breakfast, and a rich and varied dinner. The food is good, plentiful and often accompanied by those mouth-watering Greek cheeses as well as the honey that you will see appear at every meal. The fairly quiet rooms are simple and modest but very well maintained and have a full bathroom equipped with a bathtub as well as a television with several European channels including only three French news channels such as Euronews and France 24. The Hotel has a bar and a small library. At the reception, you can register for multiple excursions (optional) which I will tell you about in my next episodes. These exits are managed by private companies located in town but you will have to go on your own, in front of the Greek national bank "National Bank" to wait for your bus which will take you to the place of your choice. The bank is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Despite its simplicity, the Hotel has some advantages of being a stone's throw from the tourist area where you will be able to take a look at the countless inexpensive restaurants that line the Mediterranean coast. You can also take long walks along the pedestrian street that borders the sea or take the shopping street that runs parallel to it.
