Hi Kurt! I just discovered your channel from your placebo video from last year. I checked out eeginfo.com and I think I it ABSOLUTELY AMAZING the you all offer free treatments to veterans! That is truly a great gift to our world! As far as neurofeedback goes, I’m on the fence. I was seeing a practitioner for about 15 weeks but I didn’t see any results. The office and equipment seemed vastly outdated, I’m not a clinician though so I don’t know if that played a role. I’m wondering, based on what I understood from your website, there are many different types of neurofeedback? Which one, in your opinion, is most effective for treating Panic Disorder?

Hi Eddie, thank you for the kind words. There are so many things called neurofeedback right now, and then such a variety of different therapists using systems in different ways, it's a challenge. Keep up your search. Check out our directory at www.eegdirectory.com and the work I'm most excited about today is the new infra-low work on the newer Cygnet systems. I hope that helps. And if you're not seeing effects and benefits quickly, keep moving to try other therapists.

Hi Kurt, in my point of view I, if I use the jumper, I just need 4 electrodes? So that I can choose to put the "-" on A1 or A2
@othmerk6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I had the same question. This setup gives a more stable signal. Think of this as a "linked ears" setup. This allows the reading to incorporate readings from both sides into both channels, which means that the effects of a big burst near a reference electrode has less effect on the entire recording. But four electrodes will also work okay as you described.

Does it make any difference, if you put the reference electrodes behind the ear or on the earlobe?

No, it shouldn't make much difference, we use the mastoid and earlobe interchangeably.

Kurt, what is the difference between the Neuroamp and Neuroamp II if one wanted to use an amplifier for doing ILF Othmer Method NFB? Thanks
@othmerk5 жыл бұрын
The neuroamp II changed the processing of the low frequency to both go lower, and handle the low signals better.

@@othmerk Thanks for getting back to me, I see. Would the first Neuroamp still be usable for current Othmer ILF protocols?
@othmerk5 жыл бұрын
@@firephox The change from the fist generation to the second was quite dramatic. The results are very different. You couldn't use the old amp with a current day training course or protocol guide. The Synchrony and alpha-theta training however remain pretty much unchanged between the two devices.
